Any chance we will ever be able to change our race via gem store?

In the beginning they said they would never allow it because they wanted race selection to mean something. At a later time, they further elaborated that a race change isn’t something they can do due to technical limitations. So, it’s probably not likely, although who knows…maybe one day that will change. (Although, I personally hope they stick to their stance that they won’t ever make it an option, but that’s just my opinion)

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

i think the tech limits they explained once as having to do w/ how your personal story is tied into your race so heavily. the first 1/3rd of your story is completely race related.

Ahh ok. No problem. I just did not want to level up another necro and I’m tired of the dorky Norn look in robes. Sylvari and humans have much more proportional looking armor.

I think that was that was the main part of it. I’d have to go find the dev posts again, but I’m too lazy. There were other racial things too, like the armors, that they’d have to deal with if I recall correctly.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

There are many ways it could be done.

Some bizarre asura gate accident: Bruce the charr and Ironpaw the human enter, Ironpaw the charr and Bruce the human exit.

~alternately~

Inquest experiments gone wild: brain transplants for the win!

~alternately-

While carrying an assortment of things which may or may not please that Zomorros, the norn Humboldt Humboldtson falls in the mystic forge and emerges as Wellheck the asura.

~or~

Trahearnia: Mother, this quaggan attempted to climb your uppermost branches and fell, suffering severe damage.
Pale Tree: Take him to the Oompaloompa chamber and place him in a pod. I will rebuild him. Make him better than he was. Faster. Stronger. Leafier.

The table is a fable.
