Lisa bounces into forum. First of all I want to say thank you Devs for reducing the difficulty levels in the Jungle. I have been having a ball running my four Rangers through it looking for pets.

Just running through the jungle, killing things, joining in on the orange circle stuff, and doing map completion has netted me a fair amount of Mastery Points..already far more than I have in Core Tyria.

My question about Masteries is on the upper right of my mastery page says I have six mastery points to spend but it will not let me spend any of them..and earlier, I could not spend mastery points on anything but level 3 of gliding. I wanted to put those points elsewhere, but oh no, it would not let me. Level 3 Gliding was the only option. I guess I am doing something wrong. Can someone shed some light on how I can spend Mastery points where I want to spend them, and, why can I not spend the 6 that it says I still have?

Now about the elusive Juvenile Electric Wyvern. I know where the spawn point is, and two of my rangers have managed to charm one. But, I can’t seem to be in the right place, at the right time because I am having a kitten time trying to get this pet for my other Rangers. Is there a particular time I should perch there or is it just plain luck????

My first Wyvern, I was actually in the event and followed everyone to the nest.

My second Wyvern popped up while I was waiting for it.

I have had no luck since.

Anyways, I am finally enjoying the Jungle

I would enjoy it more if I could solo the Hero Points though. Still have zero specializations

Lisa-Headed back to the Jungle to see if an Electric Wyvern has spawned

Simple answer! You have to get XP in HoT maps. That applies to your current chosen tier you are working on. Tier 1 will not take long to max out, Tier 6 will take quite a while. So watch your xp bar and when it is full then you can apply points to the tier you were training.

Thus you have a number of factors going. You have to train the tiers sequentially, no unlocking tier 4 when you have only done tier 1 in a particular line. You have to get enough xp to max out a tier. You have to have points to spend to actually finish and unlock that tier.

At least you can hop around if you want to. XP applied to a tier will always be there on that tier. It makes more sense to finish the tier first, though.

I remain willing to lead you around to the HP. Most of them in Verdant Brink don’t take much effort (only need a group for the sw corner by the Treacherous Path WP and for the vampire in the guano up in the canopy in the north). I think there are 11 HP in VB, so that’s 110 points towards your elite. Add in any core Tyria HP you have, and you should be fairly close by the time you have all the HP in VB. Then there are a few not so hard ones in Auric Basin, also people often do HP trains there. As long as you have updraft use (from gliding) and bouncing mushrooms (from first tier Itzel) you can get to all of them with the zerg.

For masteries you have to fill up the bar for the mastery before spending points on it. You fill up the bar just by gaining XP while that mastery is selected. XP gained in HoT areas will go toward selected HoT masteries while XP gained in core Tyria areas will go toward core masteries. I assume you have the gliding mastery selected so that one has been getting the experience and is the reason you can only spend points there. Also there are 2 flavors of mastery points, those for HoT and those for the core game. HoT points can only be spent on HoT masteries, similar with the core masteries.

Many of the masteries are locked until you do a prior tier of mastery or do something else to unlock it. Clicking on the mastery line will select it for your experience to go there or tell you how to unlock it if it is still locked.

“The Juvenile Electric Wyvern can be found here once the Pact establish control of the Central Advance Camp.”
you need to be there when the meta is being done. once this camp is controlled, then the Wyvern will spawn.

I have three and am currently trying to choose a race for #4.

You were saying? :>

OP, for the hero points, you can also try calling them in map chat. Unless the final event of the meta is underway, that should get you a few people to do it with.

PSA: The amount of small felines serves as an indicator for just how angry I am at something.
