I was wondering if anyone else knows, is the beta test exclusive to entertainment writers/attendees of the event on February, or will there be say a weekend for all to get their hands on the beta testing

No info yet, I’d imagine we’ll find out after PAX East in March.

They will probably allow people to sign up for it or do something along the lines of pre-purchasing gives beta-access.

I imagine it will follow the same fashion as the beta testing for the release of the full game. We pay money, we get access to the beta. I’d be surprised if they did a whole “beta key” thing, considering they didn’t for the original release of GW2.

But they did do a beta key giveaway, I got my beta key from the website without preordering.

I would love for them to do what they did for GW1. They had the alpha up during E3 and we got to play the whole weekend. It won’t happen, but one can dream. I’ve gotten into betas without pre-ordering will still pre-order though.
