RIP Ricochet... til HoT?
P/P was already a dead build, ANet just buried.
PS: P/P was pretty much the only build I played with my thief since my latency made other builds almost impossible, guess what character will be “promoted” as inventory mule.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If they get riffle, it could be a bouncing bullets trait for riffles and pistols. This could also be the reason they haven’t mentioned anything about it being removed. They don’t want to “confirm” that thief is getting riffle, etc.
But if pistols was meant for mid ranged, potential AoE, I doubt riffle will have the intended purpose of long range potential AoE. But, it would give it more flavor and make it distinct from the warrior riffle if it had AoE potential.
Or….they just removed it because……well I have no reason why. shrug I know my friend will miss his bouncing bullets with healing.
If it is being removed in favor of a elite spec, that spec is better be kitten awesome.
I would love for a sword offhand more, but, whatever.
If it isn’t, then I’m hoping they just forgot to make it baseline. It makes no sense that just a few months they changed ricochet to make it more usefull and now get rid of it.
I was just about to gear my P/P thief in this month… Looks like i have to freeze that build until Anet figures out what the hell they wanted to do with this patch. The whole thing is a mess.
Also anything a thief wants with pistols is absolutely trait starved now.No trait that increases pistol dmg or range, or anything to add some extra to pistols. But you can cripple with them now….yey
They could at least make Unload ricochet or something.
That would solve almost everything.
