For me I would like to see the charr being able to become revs in the next BWE.

I would guess once the Revenant is released from human-only character creation, all the races will become accessible.

As for my preference? I don’t really have one. Race makes no difference in skill use, and I already know what Heavy Armor looks like on all the races. Maybe there will be some dialogue difference between the Legends and particular character races, but I didn’t really notice any during my beta test of the Revenant, anyway. So….

I’m not sure. I’d worry about too many spoilers if I used a sylvari, assuming they’ve implemented the race-specific whispers. Maybe norn, as I do have a concept for a norn rev and I’d get a chance to see how it feels in combat before committing to an actual alt.

I’d like it to be all the races so I can hear the new combat move shouts from other players, though

I hope to try out charr, not because of Rytlok (which is the kittenest of em all) but because i so love the race, even with all the clipping/trenchcoats on my engi

Sylvari, already have a name picked out that only fits a Sylvari, but I keep finding human looks that are acceptable.
I can’t think of any decent human names though, so I really need them to open up Sylvari before I find a human I really want to keep :/

I’ve been considering making a revenant and I think I’d like to make them a norn or charr, so those are the races I’d like to have to try out.

Colin said pretty plainly the only reason we didn’t see other races in this last beta was that all the animations and voice work wasn’t done yet for the rest. They weren’t picking and choosing a race at random here. Of course, humans being the most popular race meant that they were finished first. When the other races are done, I’m sure we’ll get the choice to use them.

There wasn’t even any unique dialogue between the revenant and the legends in this beta (at least I didn’t hear any).
Humans and sylvari use the same animations, they could’ve been in the beta.
Charr and asura had animations when playing through fractals (I think the only one that looked unfinished was the staff auto’s third skill)
I understand that humans are the most popular race but really, since the very first beta they’re STILL not done with the basic animations? I’m honestly concerned at the pace the expansion is going. There seems to be basically nothing finished yet and that’s awfully worrying

asura. I can totally see an Asura getting contact with the legends to find out more about the eternal alchemy.

You can use the code to preview it on any female sylvari you have, even one you make for just a few minutes if you don’t have one yet. It’s not the same as roaming around in the world and seeing animations, but you can at least see if there are any odd hip expansions and such.

If you have a female Sylvari you can check out the armor using the wardrobe section in your bank. The char doesn’t need to be heavy armor to preview it.

I think we all know how preview is different than actually view it in game working along all the animations :\

I don’t really care about the Beta Weekend Events, but I will be making a Norn Revenant (their link to the Mists in the lore… hello!) when HoT launches.
