Since HoT is arriving on a friday 23rd october, can any moderator clarify for me whether we get two days or until the following week to get the first week raid rewards? As in do we only get two days to try and complete the raids for the very first set of weekly rewards that is the weekend of the release? Or do we get an extension? curious. thanks

The first raid doesn’t open for two weeks after HoT’s launch. So no one will be getting raid rewards in the first two days or even the following week.

raids arent there until a few weeks after launch, because we need time to upgrade our masteries. apparently they are required for the Raid

Not required, you can enter the raid without having a single mastery. But you will likely not do very well in the fights if you haven’t gotten a few masteries under your belt.

After two days of watching Twitch streams it’s all a blur. Could have been in a PoI or a blog or the initial raids announcement (or later in the con where that happened) or in one of the segments in the past two days. But I’m positive a dev stated firmly that it would be two weeks post release so people didn’t feel quite as crunched to farm up some masteries. It will be one wing out of three in the first raid.

Today in the raid stream they further said that more raids (or maybe just the other wings?) will arrive very early in 2016, as soon as they are ready, and it won’t be anything like waiting until May for them.

“Wings are released one at a time. 1st wing released sometime after HoT ship (before Holidays). The first wing will give you some background story that is continued in wing 2 and wing 3 etc”

Colin or someone estimated two week to give players enough time to play the expansion and not feel rushed to get masteries. Earlier today, they announced it would be a few weeks after HoT release but that no exact date was set. Only that it would be before the holidays.
