Am I the only one that suspects the old Troll Unguent may return for Jungle creatures, making zerkers less effective and requiring more use of conditions? There’s got to be a reason for the new conditions…

Oh and I’m also suspicious about the backpack that is plant based. I’d not like to be taken over by the sentient plant, your screen goes blank for 2 minutes and then fades back into view. You’re in another part of the jungle and have no idea how you got there…

I can see it now… Over the 250 years since Nightfall fell upon Elona, the professions have evolved and many skills have been adapted to match them. In the Maguuma however, they have not fought side by side with a companion, they had no reason to adapt from the current iteration. Religiously beginning every fight by standing there dancing for a few pips of regen, these old threats rise once more to crush Tyria… As soon as they’re done channeling… Any minute now…

The new Taunt and Slow don’t really affect Troll Unguent, no more so than interrupting any other skill anyway. The utility of conditions isn’t really an issue until it comes time to interrupt a champion and a whole bunch of people in the event didn’t get the memo.
