I think that’s why they were saving the announcement to go alongside Raids. That was then blown, everyone focused on it and now they’ve had to throw some more info out to try and stop the backlash.

If they had planned for a “limitless adventure” on these F2P accounts, I think from the amount of rage on the forums, we may see a U-turn on that and we might see a “Trial-like” package to appease those who’ve had the game 3 years.

Also, pretty much confirmed that Druid and Forge are going to get the short end of the beta testing stick unless we get multiple additional BWE’s in a much shorter time period than we have in the past.

It doesn’t actually show up on GW2’s twitter page… I think they may have just pulled an IGN…

No, they announced it today because today is the 3rd anniversary of the game’s official launch.

It is their main twitter page with a /status added. I don’t know how to find it without a link but it does look real. And hey, Aug 28 seems a good day to announce it — I bet they’ll say something on the PoI in just over an hour, too.

It’s only a few days after my birthday!
