Sorry but telling me to substantiate someone’s complaint with reasons that they should have provided in the first place isn’t going to happen.

As they only need silver and that you just need a few tries to get it usually (at least for me and many others I know), I think it is fine.

I mean, you bronze is handed to you easily and they are very accessable.
Combine that with the repeat function and the recent changes to make them open for a longer time there is no reason not invest a bit of your time in them.

As these items are prestige cosmetic items anyway, I don’t see a good reason to why they should change it.
They are designed like that for a reason. Get the basic thing for free, but put some effort in the upgrade.

I prefer doing adventures, towards grinding for gold or DS so I can get the mechanicized or mystic weapons, for that collection, but do you see me complaining about them?
No, because it is a justifyable effort.

Adventures vary in difficulty, but there are several guides out there, that help you out, even if you are unable to do it with you skilllevel.

if your problem is just because you are clumsy player, then I have to say sorry, but that is your problem and you are in the minority here.
They are supposed to be some kind of challenge.

It’s like asking Mario not to jump, because you can’t/won’t push jump-button.

It’s like asking Mario not to jump, because you can’t/won’t push jump-button.

I am probably quickly ruing answering this, but I still give it a try:

Nobody asked for SuperMarioWars2 in the first place. Filler content is filler.

Would you look a football game to see who does the best pass to goal ratio? Don´t know about you but I want to be entertained by content, not gated and annoyed.

Would you catch bugs in a toxic dungeon for your amusement while your people are slaughtered by a dragon? A few seem useful, some are just not necessary, most totally ruin any immension you could feel in HoT.
“Yeah, you know, we got this total awesome staff etc for you, the hero and pact commander! All we ask for you is to jump through a few unrelated hoops! Hm…what do you mean, how is that heroic?”

Jumping was advertised with this game so it’s expected that players would have to performing jumping for some aspects. Adventures were advertised as a part of HoT so it was expected that some things would require players to do adventures.

Players will likely not enjoy all aspects of content within a game. This does not mean that content should be adjusted to cater to each and every player’s preferences.

Jumping was never mandatory in GW2. Of course you could boycott jumping things and move on in Gw2, but you will find that most things involve jump and run since HoT, so your options are very limited.

How do you get map completion without jumping? How do you complete certain fractals (e.g. Uncategorized) without jumping? Jumping is also a large part of the new maps. Players have to jump to get to many of the mastery insights yet nobody is complaining about that.

There is one jumping puzzle that is part of map completion.
I did not have full map for years because there was jumping involved. But that is just 1 thing you could not do.
Fractal can and is done with mesmers.
And to indirectly quote myself, jumping is indeed much more needed with the advent of HoT, the jumping components are the make and break of HoT. I don´t see how this contradicts my opinion that nobody asked for SuperMarioWars2. We got it, people played it. Neither does suggest that people enjoy it, and some probably did it to get over with it. I for example have several silvers and could have very well lived without them.

Many vistas require jumping. Some hero points require jumping.

You’re assuming every group has a Mesmer. Not always the case.

HoT was advertised to include jumping just as GW2. A game that includes jumping would most likely use that for various things. To expect differently is wrong.

You shrug off map completion as one thing people can just not do if they don’t like jumping. Well adventures are just one thing that they don’t have to do as well.

Compare the effort of a common vista to a common adventure and the jumping in vanilla and HoT and tell me again how nothing has changed. Adventures are small jumping puzzles, not vistas.

See adventures have an emphasis on jumping (e.g. Sanctum scramble) but fortunately there are others that don’t require any more jumping than your typical vista. There are even some that don’t need you to jump period. These more than outweigh the number that require as much jumping as a jumping puzzle. There are more than enough MO that you can earn from adventures without having to do a significant amount of jumping.

I’ve done map completion for Tyria and HoT over a dozen times and neither required significantly more jumping than the other.

EDIT:

I’m sure that I would have to eventually explain which ones require jumping to the degree of a typical jumping puzzle compared to those that don’t so I may as well do it now to get it out of the way.

I’ll group them by those that require no jumping at all, to those that require a few jumps, to everything else.

No Jumping Required (5/15)

  • Flying Circus
  • Shooting Gallery
  • Salvage Pit
  • On Wings of Gold
  • Haywire Punch O Matic

Minimal Jumping Required (5/15)

  • Tendril Torches
  • Ley-Line Run
  • Drone Race
  • Beetle Feast
  • Scrap Rifle Field Test

Substantial Jumping Required (5/15)

  • Bugs in the Branches
  • Floor is Lava
  • Sanctum Scramble
  • Fallen Masks
  • A Fungus Among Us

If you get all mastery points from all other sources, you only need 5 from adventures. There are 10 available from those that do not require jumping and another 10 from those that require a minimal amount such as to hop onto a mushroom.

HEART OF MAGUUMA—ADVENTURES
Adventures are now unlocked more often. They have more forgiving time limits and allow players to more easily reach bronze, silver, and gold completion. They also give more experience for reaching those completion tiers.
Unlocking and Accessing Adventures
The Tendril Torchers and Salvage Pit adventures in Verdant Brink have both been altered to stay unlocked during the entire daytime period.
The Shooting Gallery adventure in Verdant Brink has been altered to be unlocked during most of the day, except when the following events move through the space:
The “Defend the Pact encampment against hylek attacks” event
The “Salvage scrap from the crashed Pact airship for Bongo to reinforce the outpost” event
The “Help Faren train to be a swordsmaster” event
All adventures in Auric Basin will now remain unlocked except during the “Battle in Tarir” meta-event.
The Beetle Feast and Scrap Rifle Field Test adventures in Tangled Depths will now remain available when the chak gerent isn’t present.
Time Limits
Bugs in the Branches: Added 5 seconds to the time limit.
Shooting Gallery: Added 30 seconds to the time limit.
Fallen Masks: Added 15 seconds to the time limit.
On Wings of Gold: Added an updraft near Northgate to make it easier to reach the adventure.
A Fungus Among Us: Changed the time required to achieve a gold ranking to 1 minute and 25 seconds.
The Floor Is Lava?: Added 15 seconds to the time limit.
Haywire Punch-o-Matic Battle: Added 5 seconds to the time limit. Also added a world-map marker in Tangled Depths.
Sanctum Scramble: Changed the time required to achieve a gold ranking to 2 minutes and 35 seconds.
Scrap Rifle Field Test: Added a world-map marker in Tangled Depths.
Rewards
Adventures now give increased experience in their daily bronze, silver, and gold rewards.

The TL;DR of it? Nope.

The spring patch made them more available (a good thing!) and slightly, sort of, loosened some of the scores needs to reach reward tiers.

Many alts; handle it!

Three, actually (or at least three i remember offhand): Broken Wall, Tribulation rift, and Vizier’s tower. You’d also need to do parts of JPs in Dry Top and Tarir.

Actions, not words.

I recon this is a bit bigger problem. The game become easier each update and the valued skins become less important. In the beginning there were a meaning behind that you have a legendary or two. Now the new stuff are obtainable relatively short period of time, there is no real challenge about it. I saw a player with an Ad infinitum backpack just two days after it’s patch. It’s frustrating because there is not a single elite set/skin in this game. We have crazily priced ones, but not a single skin which you look at and think: “that guy is know something to get it”
