Guild Wars 2

Hi guys,

I am planning on coming back to start playing guild wars 2 again. I am planning on getting the Heart of Thorns expansion. Before I stopped playing I used to only do dungeons. Now with Heart of Thorns, I have done some research and I heard about the legendary backpiece that you can get through Fractals. I was wondering how difficult this is going to be. I was looking at the ingredients necessary but I had no idea how rare or hard to get those items were. Are you able to get the legendary backpiece by just playing fractals casually or will you need to grind fractals as well as get rare drops? With this in mind, I want to create a new character for Heart of Thorns. I currently have 4 level 80 characters: a warrior, guardian, ranger, and mesmer. I was thinking of making a revenant but after some research I think it would be cool to have a daredevil thief or reaper necro. Are these classes viable for Fractals or should I stick with the revenant?

easy, but maybe expensive. The hardest item to get comes as a guaranteed drop from salvaging ascended armor or weapons. You can get it also from salvaging rings or accessories, but gl w that.

classes dont matter on fractals as long as you know how to play your class, know what to do and dont put stupid armor like cleric or something similar.

Reaper is excellent in fractals. How it compares to other classes, I can’t say, but it’s massive dps just carves through mobs.

I have no experience at the higher fractals though, so this is based on lower-mid range

thanks for the response! I’ve always wanted to get a thief but from what I’ve heard they are very squishy. Have you played the revenant?

Barely. My guild leader mains Herald and they are very impressive. Most things I hear about Rev seem positive

Thief is fine in fractals, just make sure you meelee the bosses for maximum dps output.
