Hey I was a big guild wars fan played since day 1 of Guild wars then moved onto gw2
I took a year break from the game like What has change last i knew i was getting items for the twilight sword…….

Is it going be worth getting the xpack I Want to boost the new class in play that
also What should I do to prepare my self for hots when i buy it in a few days I’m also getting a couple of game cards for Gems so I can finish making my twilight sword Thanks!!!
Also what dungeons can I Do with full flame set for warrio Crit base dmg are did they nerf it? also what is the dungeon QUE feture hot key i forget

There’s been a crap ton of updates. Way to many to list. If I were you I would find a guild and explain your situation and I’m sure they’ll help. All and all this is a good game a lot has changed, for the better in my opinion, you’ll have fun jumping back in. Btw most ppl run fractals over dungeons but you can do both.

Hey, I played GW2 since the first beta weekend, but stopped playing middle of Living Story Season 2. Coming back was a little bit of a rough adjustment, but I am back in the swing of things after only a couple of weeks.

I suggest doing all the story steps that you can (might be worth unlocking some living story, might not be, depends on what you’re missing), as this really helped me get comfortable with my hotkeys and mechanics again.

I also suggest spending a chunk of time cleaning out your bags. Just search for whatever it is on the wiki to see if it’s safe to discard or if it’s phased out where the special vendor is to turn it in. You might have something that is now rare/expensive!

For your question on if the xpac is worth it…definitely. Most def. Totes magotes. I bought a copy for myself and a copy for my friend and it was totally worth it.

When we played together we did a lot of core Tyria stuff (including map complete) while my friend got used to the game(didn’t boost, etc)
When my friend wasn’t on I would venture into HoT(to get some experience for when my friend got there and to unlock my elite spec) and by the time my friend was ready for HoT I was using an alt to go through the story.

So anyways, take that however you want. Basically I guess I’m saying you might wanna spend some time in Tyria before jumping into HoT. Some people complain about HoT being hard, it’s difficult at first but it becomes really fun after a bit imo. Silverwastes felt really hard when I first step foot in there, now it’s one of my favorite zones.
