I have bought Heart of Thorns and therefore I have received an extra character slot. I will use that character slot for the revenant. In create new character the revenant is already present but not active. Would it be possible to make the revenant available for the ones who have bought Heart of Thorns. I could start already with leveling in the starting area of GW2.

Nope, its part of the expansion, it will be available when the expansion is released.

Sure I understand, but leveling will not take place in the expansion. It was just a suggestion.

Why would leveling not take place ?

Sure some of us are going to Tome all the way to 80 but that doesn’t mean leveling won’t happen for those that don’t have tomes or want to level the natural way.

I suppose that leveling for low levels will not take place in the Heart of Thorns area. A level 30 will not last long there and getting there alive will be also a problem I presume.

While you’re right on the “not leveling in the HoT areas,” you also have to understand that the class is still being balanced and finalized for release. It’s almost finished (since we’re fairly close to release), but it’s not quite there yet.

I wouldn’t expect them to put it out yet, even if it’s just to level in the old zones.

Also if they let us have to much before release players will forget that it’s actually part of the xpac and complain that there is not enough features.
