So I realize weapon swap is thought of as “too much” for a revenant. But as much as hammer looks sweet i would like to try out the other weapons as well. The problem with this is on high level difficulty (mostly higher fractals and hard hitting bosses) It is REALLY nice to be able to have a melee and a ranged option. I just have a feeling unless the revs healing/tanking is amazing that it will be a “hit a few times then stand in the corner to recover, rinse and repeat”. I know this isn’t always the case but that’s my feeling on it.

-No weapon swap would make the revenant the only class unable to range the enemy if getting low on health. (saying this as ele cant weapon swap but has attunements that give a large variety of ranged options). Granted there may be legends that fix this problem and I am really hoping that is the case.

What does everyone else think about it? Maybe something I missed?
I would love to hear any constructive comments or thoughts! Thanks!

I’ll guess it’s designed that way. However i agree. A workaround would be the change of weapons outside of combat manually.

My concerns are that the profession does not do enough damage. From what i’ve seen hammer ain’t that great. And sure you can argue and say it’s a ranged thing. And i know it is not a finished product.

Also mace and axe. In PVP it might be great to have torment on that weapon but in pve in melee range it is not that powerful.

Yet again some game mode discrepancies. Who would have thought that they occure?

Keep in mind we have only seen the tanking and condition Legends. Not to mention we have not seen the power trait line or the melee power weapon (staff?).

Damage is simply a numbers game. For example I am very curious to see the damage scaling and accurate cast times of Hammer 2. It seems to have extreme potential.

The hammer autoattack is a ranged attack which you can combine with the reflective wall to spam lifesteal.
