Revenant: Which gear?
Celestial will probably be popular initially before people come up with concrete builds, as it’ll allow people to experiment with all the different combinations without too much gear fuss.
Even after good builds come to light, I think Celestial will still be pretty popular as it’ll allow you to run 2 vastly different legends which would normally require very different stat combinations to use.
I’m sure there will also be builds that will focus specifically on offense or defense that will use the more specialized gear as well, though. They’ll just be more limited to using certain legends that compliment one another instead of vastly different ones.
I’m hoping Sword+Dagger will be DPS weapons and not condi crap like the hammer/mace+axe. I’m hoping that there will be legends that are all about DPS and not about worthless condis.

Hammer condition? Are we watched the same POI?
Hammer has no damaging conditions at all, I’m not sure what makes you think its a condition weapon.

I’m going with full celestial – can’t go wrong with it.
I’d say celestial as well, seems they are going to be a lot like the elementalist and engineer, no matter how you build, you are going to have a little bit of everything on your bar.
Not saying that I’ll use it though, just that it is most effective. I’ve never used cele stats on any of my characters, I just don’t find building ‘jack of all trades’ fun no matter how effective it is.
Berserker stats in PvE like usual.
Honestly hoping its celestial > berserkers

Looks like I’ll have two sets:
Berserker armor, necklace, backpiece and hammer.
Rabid or Rampager armor, necklace, backpiece and mace/axe.
Rampager rings and accessories (because I’m too lazy to manually swap these).
PvE: Zerker
PvP: Celestial
PvE & PvP: Celestial

When going with a hybrid condi/power I would rather have Power or Precision as the main stat over Condition Damage – particularly with Torment, which doesn’t really do as much as other conditions (will definitely be slotting in an Earth sigil into that mace) – so Rampager’s the only option there.
If I were to main Condition Damage I would want more survivability, because I’m going to be waiting a long time for that Torment to take stuff down, so either Dire or Rabid in that case.
Also hoping its celestial since I have around 20 ascended chests I haven’t found a use for..
They’re mix and match, but all of the ascended chests have wupwup(celestial).
It’d save me a couple of gold, and I’d rather not take from the gold I’ve been saving for new legendaries.
If rampages happens to be a thing I can probs do a set of that from chests alone too…
Think I have an extra set of zerker amulet/trinkets/etc… But I’d need to make half a set of armor since I only have a few zerk chests.

I’m thinking carrion for the vitality to help maintain all those conditions while power & condi for dps.
Replenishing Despair - Incoming conditions heal you for a small amount
Bolstered Anguish – Increased damage for every condition on you (3% bonus dmg per condition)
Along with those traits it seems to synergize well.
In pvp so many people run zerkers
How well do you think this condi synergy is going to play out ?
Just like every other profession I play in PvE, it will be in full zerker.
