Revenant's Access to Healing

Revenant have a lot of heal skill true. But lets not forget guardian heals himself when applying any boons, or symbols or meditations….. heck even dodging heals guards..
I’m not. My Guard is jealous of warrior’s hp, but he doesn’t care of healing.
gw1 monk version 2.0?
I am more bothered by how I could just swap between Legends and use a new Healing skill. Using one, did not affect the recharge of the other. That is a problem to me, even if there are traits such as the one that grants Fury upon healing.
Seafarer’s Rest
Its hard to be jealous of healing, when in the type of harder content Anet puts in, its either make your dodge (or pop a invulnerable skill) or downed, occasionally its even straight to instant dead, miss out the down state altogether.
So healings, pretty much pointless…
If i’m not mistaken, someone did the math and warrior’s Healing Signet still outheals both heals a Revenant has access to.

There’s a good variety of traits that will grant healing as well, not just the two skills from swapping between Legends (even that can be traited to heal (or deal damage) if you want it to do that). They also have rather easy generation to Combo Field: Dark, which allows them access to Life stealing pretty reliably. Revenant does have some serious healing output, that’s for sure.

Man, staph this bs. It doesnt matter. Quantity over quality! It has 2 healing skills so its much be op, nerf asap. /sarcasm off.
Calculating Jalis+Mallyx heals (in a celestial gear which gives healing power) their base hp is 9447/30sec.
My healing signet on warrior with 250 healing power provides 11200hp/30sec and healing surge (max adrenaline) 10195/30sec
Also everyone can trait for healing if they want to – warrior for banner regen/shouts
Guardian for boons/symbols/dodge/medi skill usage check guard even have a gs trait which provides a bit of healing. Mace that heals on last aa strike. Guardian can also spam 1 on hammer olny for basically perma protection and perma symbol which regen them. Also their virtue that heals them over time (class mechanic)
Those are just 2 examples. What about eles and engis creating and blasting their own water fields etc? I could go on and on..
That is a reason why you cant balance around casual/average Joe. They have no idea how this game works leading to a poor balance.

You have permanent protection and loads of blocks. The healing from Revenants doesn’t seem all that strong currently even when using most of the traits. Guardians on the other hand don’t lose anything while keeping all the blocks and protection.

Both heals are about 5200 if I recall correctly (in celestial). It requires 2 casts and a swap to heal 5200×2 10400 healing both with a 30 second cooldown. Cast times aside that’s only 346 Hps. Less that the base 362 Hps on healing signet.

That’s an overstatement. Guardians can’t keep up protection indefinitely without auto-attacking with hammer, and even when it is applied it can be boon stripped leaving them without it for a long time. As a shout guardian I have more access to it than other types of guardians, but even then there’s significant cd’s on my skills. Blocks only stand out when well timed

I doubt they change the access to healing. For one, I like the feature and think a lot of people will as well. Second when they announced the Revenant at Pax South Colin specifically listed this as something cool they could do and one way they will stand out.
heck even dodging heals guards..
Stability on dodge that Revenant get is far more useful though, letting them dodge out of things like ring of warding, line of warding, ele staff CC etc. If they don’t give it an ICD it will be among the most useful “on dodge” traits.

I agree with you i prefer stability on dodge. BUT the post was about access to heals not stability. Was simply stating guard is not lacking on heals.

We are probably talking about different content here. I’m talking purely from a PvE perspective. The place where protection really makes a big difference is fractals, and there you can definitely keep up protection infinitely.
Regardless my point still stands. Guardians have ways to mitigate damage through blocks and boons. Revenants only have some mediocre healing and they can apply a little weakness if they spam Inspiring Reinforcement. Revenants just happen to have several difference sources for passive, uncontrollable healing through traits.
Immortal Kingdom [KING]
It’s all marred by the total inflexibility of the class, unfortunately. utility skills locked in to legends without being able to be switched out.
Will be an amazing class to play, will just miss the customisation options
