Q:
Revenant specialization
I know this is way ahead of it’s time, but will there be a specialization for Revenant? Like the example you gave of a ranger becoming a druid?

That’s not even that crazy :P
I think all 9 professions will get multiple specializations.
So what can it be?
So what can it be?
we barely know anything about the proffession, so getting that answer wont be possible yet
I’m predicting something more Assassin like, but still heavily emphasizing the spiritual nature of the Revanant.
Wraith or Specter sounds like a likely name, and daggers would be their game.

I heard someone talk about Dervish-like specialization, that would be cool… Trying to find some lore on Revenant btw…

Not going to find much. I believe Rytlock is canonically the first one.
I’m sure they wouldn’t shortchange their brand new profession by not letting it partake in the brand new specialization system. That would be a huge downer and a terrible decision.

Well, people are suggesting a link with the Dervish and the Ritualist so:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Dervish
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ritualist
But we don’t know how much of that, if anything, is relevant for the revenant (pun not intended).
Great pun dude

Nope, confirmed in the afterparty that when HoT will be released, each profession will get only one specialization.
They have however confirmed that they want to add more specializations for each profession in the future.
only one? but thats not specialising, thats just extending – specialisation means to concentrate on and become expert in a particular subject or skill, if theres only one path to choose, you cant say you’re concentrating on a particular subject/skill now can you

it’s not extending as you are ‘exchanging’ skills and traits for new ones that is only available for your specialization.
CJ: When you are a druid, you have the capacity to use powers that a ranger cannot use, but while you’re a druid, you can still take advantage of the abilities that a ranger has available to it and use those to mix and match. There are some key fundamental differences [from GW secondary classes], but the concept is very similar.
i just hope we can choose a different specialisaton later, id hate to be forced into a specialisation that i dont want, only for the one i do want to be released later a d be like" lol u start again now"
