I’ve noticed this is a near impossible adventure to complete for glints bastion…….first the fly thing height got nerfed and now the jump is completely gone. with the way the physics are in this game i tend to slide off almost everything on that path. its literately impossible to do silver or better now…..so i was wondering anet……when will this whole problem be fixed?..alot of people cant complete it and the only ones that manage to. have a time score of 0. which usually means there hacking…so is anything going ot be done about this adventure? or are you going to remove or debuff more of it?

Have you watched the videos to see how people used the abilities?

i have and most of those abilities have A been nerfed….B been removed.

This ones a tough one. I actually tried it out for the first time earlier today and I made silver by 3 seconds. I said “yup that’s enough of this for awhile.”

I’m basically going through all the adventures and getting at least silver unless gold is possible with minimal effort.

and just how did you do it? would you like to help me?

Well, for every uphill jump I used the #3 skill and for all the straight shots I used #2. I figured out via a video you can open your glider AND use #2 so that was a huge time saver. I actually put about five failed attempts into it, then I took it slow to learn the path and got bronze. I then watched the video and was able to get silver. The failed attempts were all relatively short as I was perfecting the first minute or so.

1. was pretty much used on CD.

……everytime i hit number 2 i fall off something or get stuck on something.

It fires you in a direct path. I really only used it at the start after you get up that giant hill, and there’s a spot where you have the glide forever shortly after that. Then the long skinny branch that is completely straight, and at the end.

Oh, btw, when you click #2 you click it again to stop early. Took me a few tries to notice that. I’d suggest making it all the way without #2 then adding that in. Bronze is totally achievable without it.

The #1 skill is missing.

Just ran it. Gold is doable but the timer is even tighter now.

lets just face it. we are not meant to have glints bastion they don’t want us to have it..they want us to have a brain aneurysm due to stress.

not really..i guess those of us with bad coordination who cant just wiz over a keyboard and do everything in a few seconds like those videos I’ve been watching are just gonna get left in the dust..i wont be able to get glints bastion…..because i have kitten poor coordination in this game….i feel bad for the older people though….they may never see one of these weapons on there account….oh well though……I’m sure at some point someone will say its to easy again and they will remove skill 2.

Well I get gold without ever using skill 2, I use skills 1 and 3 all the time.

its actually one of my favorite challenges, you simply need to learn how to use the skills you have to the maximum benefit while wasting as little time as possible doing regular running

Skill 1 is currently disabled due to a bug (also affects other adventures and parts of the HoT story).

Out of curiosity what does skill 1 do? I would also highly recommend using 2 while at least gliding long distances.

There aren’t really any long distance glides in it. I mean I have gotten gold without it so I haven’t tried experimenting much with it.

As Illconceived said, there is a bug that appeared with Tuesday’s patch that removed the 1 skill from many in-game stories/activities/adventures. I wouldn’t try doing this until the bug is fixed.

I’m not sure what the 1 skill did seeing as they removed it before I tried it, but I’d use 2 after the second checkpoint on the long glide, up the long narrow straight vine, and at the end where you have to glide over the gap. Oh and I used it at the start after you hopped up the first climb.

I’m slow though, I made silver by 3 seconds :P

Yeah. Having the #1 skill made it very easy to get gold. It’s still possible except you have to be near perfect at the end.

I was practicing this and not even getting silver before the nerf….Being elderly and no whizzy boots like the young things, I am most disappointed the skill was removed, now there is no chance. I am sure eventually I would have done it, but alas no glints shield (I have everything else for the shield). Not a good or pleasant change, please reverse it!

It wasn’t done on purpose. It’s a bug that’s still waiting to be fixed (if it’s still yet to be fixed, that is). Hopefully the patch next month will take care of it.

I was in there 2 nights ago and the 1 skill was available. Did it get broken again?

I have just done this in 2:56min and received the Silver Award but it is not showing up in my Glint’s Bastion Collection, it’s the last bit I needed to get the shiny :-(

You have to open the chest to get it.

Kinda like flying circus. I can easily get gold time (with full gliding mastery) but only gives me silver reward. Usually I get gold reward on the 2nd try.

I also can say sanctum scramble it much easier once you have lean techniques.

I can’t beat 2:50 on SS and can’t think of a way to make up 21 secs. I say 21 because a friend got 1:40 exactly on The Walking Mushrooms the other day, yet only received bronze when it clearly says on screen 1:40 is silver. The wiki however says less than 1:40, so, something to think about with probably all timed events. Sometimes that one sec is the difference between dancing and throwing a keyboard.
