Can’t unlock this even though I completed Prisoners of Dragon. This is needlessly over complicated. I am just providing feedback if Anet cares, I don’t have any intention to redo living story even if I knew what to do.

On completion of Prisoners of the Dragon you got a choice of rewards – one of three order-themed backpacks. Each opens a collection – to open the Priory-themed Scholar’s Pack you need to pick the Priory-themed Novice’s Pack as reward.

Problem is I don’t know what I picked a year ago. And its also not clear what I would need to do if I wanted to open this collection now.

You have to get to that point on another character. Also just look at what skins you have available in your wardrobe for backpacks. You’ll see quickly if you grabbed the vigil or whispers backpack then.

You can also look through your Collections to see wich of Scholar’s/Crusader’s/Agent’s Pack you have in progress.

In any way – to open a new, you’ll have to take a new character through the HoT story. First through “Prisoners of the Dragon” to unlock the collection, but to finish it the same character will need to finish HoT story with “Hearts and Minds”.

Finishing all three order backpacks will thus require at least three characters through HoT.

I have to agree. It’s doable, with only a tiny number of work-arounds. But it’s more complicated than it needs to be.

just do it with another character.
