Guild Wars 2

Hi all,
I was just looking for some help with some of the harder to find materials like the various lumber cores, grass seeds, etc. The descriptions say that you should be able to find it through harvesting in the various locations around the world but I’ve been trying since HoT came out and I haven’t seen a single thing. Is there some skill or mastery I’m missing? The wiki has no real information that I’ve been able to find.

Any help would be much appreciated! My guildmates would love to have a lot of plants in our hall.

It looks like for lumber cores you will need to rely on RNG from trees and/or DS pods. Judging by the costs on the TP they don’t drop very often.

I’ve gotten 5 Ascalonian Lumber Cores from Red Oak Saplings (there are only a few in North-Central Fireheart Rise, which would explain perhaps the rarity). Also, the wiki says they drop also from Inglewood Saplings, buy have never seen one after 2000+ trees felled.

I would suggest making this tree tho, as it is a giant colourful tree that adds to the guild hall.

You can also try lumber synthesizers in WvW and the Guild Hall.
