Feed the Merlion… before the Merlion feed on YOU!

I found them hilarious and really adds live to this game… sure the novelty of it wears off after a while but really giant pet should be an elite skill
Clifford the Big Red Juvenile Drake Hound
Especially amusing in WvW I bet. A whole Zerg of Druids with pets that suddenly get big enough to cover the whole area everyone is trying to fight in.
It is humorous, but really annoying when it covers up the enemy. So no thanks
It’s funny and I like it, but for mechanics reasons (and a few others) it has to go. Sorry.
Giant pets should go, and take Wings with them. I’m trying to do my thing, say put a AOE down on a target, and some big crap-kitten thing blocks my view. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
I say no to giant pets. It covers up your enemies and makes it impossible to see what is in front of you.
When u see it coming is funny…. Keep it that way. You cannot miss it.
I kept seeing bristlebacks the size of houses all weekend. It was kinda funny, but I hope it gets fixed when HoT comes out. Those buggers take up a lot of screen space!

To be blatantly honest…. We are entering a giant sized overgrown jungle that is floor is so far down…
Let alone we haven’t set foot in the jungle for how long?
I would like to argue that these creatures should not ever be restricted to being full grown at knee-height.
I would like varying sizes of pets, such as the Giant Bristleback <3

Tell charr and norns to permanently duck then… =/ im sylvari
That should be the next Elite Spec, they should invest on improving the core pet mechanics, and then release a “Animist” elite spec, where either the Elite skill or the f5 mechanic would cause the pet to grow massive and be super powered up temporarily, and all other skills would be around either buffing the pet, or buffing you based on the pet.
Another game I play off and on has growth and shrink pills… everyone has a bad tendency to max out the size of their pets. They then hide under them in PvP matches so you cannot select them easily. And, with a mob of other players around you, good luck finding them with tab-cycle before you are dead. Also, they cause tremendous amounts of lag to process. Frame rates drop dramatically, etc.
So no… keep them small. No more house-sized shenanigans. Besides, they already fixed the bug, there will be no large pets in HoT.
The large bristlebacks looked hilarious when they stood up on their hind legs and looked around.
Popped out of Arah with friends when Risen High Wizard was going on. Grew my Bristleback and he charged a Veteran Abomination head on in the most epic class of GW2 battle Id ever seen in my life. Another time I fought him in giant form against an Oakheart and it was like a scene from Godzilla, with two huge monsters slowly pummeling each other. This bug brought my a great deal of satisfaction this weekend.
Yes.
And rare pets should also be a thing, and pets that are hard to catch should also be a thing, and special rage pets that are hard to catch should also be a thing.
We got the ‘big pets’ now only those other elements need to still be implemented
though I found it funny, it blocks the view and will be annoying in the long run, so I think it shouldn’t be a part of GW2.
some bugs really have humour.
Make it a thing in pve and not in pvp or wvw. That way we rangers get the laughs while others don’t have to deal with the loss of screen space in fast paced wvw and pvp.

It does not block the view more, then the big wings do.

I’m going to agree with Devata on this, the wings visually bother me (I want to stab/burn every single pair of wings I run into) way more than the giant pets.
We were fighting in SMC and a ranger pet turned gigantic before our eyes.
Disturbing lol, as if the particle effects weren’t enough.

How about in dungeons when you’re fighting one of the bosses and suddenly pets get so big that you can’t see anything but them? Or in upper level fractals, if the oversized pet is blocking you from seeing AoE rings or you can’t see a platform to jump to because the pet is blocking your view?
Edit: or raids for that matter. You’re watching the boss for a tell so you’ll know when to dodge or use a particular skill and some Ranger’s pet suddenly becomes gigantic and blocks your view.

Add my agreement.
They need to just remove wings from the game.
… and where are our capes? GW1 was capable of flowing capes with guild emblems on them…can you seriously tell me a game with a stronger graphic engine cannot do it as well?
