And when you maxed your mastery points you want a way to exchange useless mastery points back to skill points to craft legendarys?

Skill points still have a use, and there’s apparently going to be more sources for skill points, so not likely.

There are a lot of uses for skill points already. Check the Mystic Forge page on the GW2 wiki and the recipes using Eldritch Scrolls for ideas of what to do with them.

turning skill points into named exotic equipment is a good way to make gold at the very least. Also we have been told there is a set amount of available mastery points in the game already.

Actually, we know something exactly opposite – Mastery Points will be gained through doing content, not through leveling (and their number will be finite). So, the answer to your question is 100% no.

The only thing they need to do with skill points is making them a shared resource between classes. Put them in the wallet when earned and any class can use them.

If they did this, we wouldn’t even need the skill scroll items anymore. They could go directly into our wallet. They’ve already given us things to use them on so we can ‘cash out’. Don’t need them to convert to masteries imo.
