Hi all,

For this BWE event I’m very interesed in checking the new enviroment but even more intersted in testing the various proffesions and their elite specializations.
The first time I started a Beta character I liked to have the story included in the beginning, but now that I have created the other 3 Beta characters I had to go through that same story mode again.
It becomes very tedious that way if I have to sit through that same 20min story again just to see how a new profession works.
And I only have 4 characters, so I will have to delete some over the weekend, then redo the story part to get in Verdant Brink. Then, If I decide to want to play the deleted charactern again I have to sit through that part again.
I dont mind playing the story mode when it comes out of Beta, but this to me feels very tedious as part of test.

So my question is if there we could have the character appear in Verdant Brink straight away after creation.

No, because the way it currently works, it gives you the first mastery point, completing it also gives you access to the mastery system at all.
On a side note, if you go into the story instance of someone in your party, and they leave it before you properly claim the mastery point reward, it bugs out and you cant fix it.

Actually, you can skip it. As masteries are account-wide, it’s enough just for your first toon to breeze through the story part. For all the others, just enter the Verdant Brink from Silverwastes, as usual, and when you enter the “story” story (with Braham and others), simply go to character select and go back in. That will put you straight to Verdant Brink, with the story chapter appearing as an entrance close to where you are ported to. That way, you only have to sit through one story through all of the beta (to unlock the masteries) and all your other characters can just run through Silverwastes and hop straight to the action.

Alternatively, you can enter WvW on your beta character and when you leave WvW, your character will be placed in Verdant Brink.

Or you can do my favorite one: enter Verdant Brink in story mode and run over to the green star to trigger the first story step. Skip that. Then jump off the really high cliff that you’re on. Upon death, you’ll be given an option to either restart from checkpoint, or exit out to Verdant Brink. Pick the exit option.

Just happened to us. My hubby got the reward notice after we completed the story and didn’t unlock his mastery system at all.
Tried to log out and in again, but nothing.

Any other suggestions?
