Four of the Champions needed for this get defeated fairly regularly but I have never managed to get on a map where there are sufficient people willing to go and kill Axemaster Gwyllion. It seems this champion is a bit too difficult to bother with, especially when combined with the Veteran Smokescales.

I wonder if there is anything that can be done to make this specific event a bit easier, like remove the Smokescales?

It is best to look for a VB map in the lfg channel. After the reset their should be some that are going for t4 day/night. The only difficult thing for axemaster is finding people with stealth detection to kill it. During my VB t4 runs axemaster is normally one of the first bosses killed.

Point is I haven’t managed to get on a map where more than a couple of people were waiting hopefully for a zerg to turn up.

The only response I have got was ‘there wasn’t enough time’, with 5 minutes before the day cycle started.

I’ve killed that guy half a dozen times. You really do need to find an organized T4 map, because those maps kill every boss.

I have never found a map in which people split among all the outposts during night and actually defended them. In the end, every map succeed in killing all 5 bosses but the meta event progress bar always stops at around 98%, thus, I still don’t have my bladed coat box. And I think I never will….

If that happens, get to ground level and find an extra event. Anything. Kick and scream in the map chat until people come to help with it. So many people seem to give up when the meta’s not quite done, but the bosses are dead – it’s worrying.

or they just went afk assuming it is done because the bosses are dead, that is how things work in the rest of the game. All bosses dead equal done. The game also doesn’t present it as a failure state unlike the other three maps and the differences in rewards is also more subtle than the other maps.

look for VB T4 night which means they are going for T4 night time which must kill all of the bosses to get the blade chest reward.

Thought he was tough, but when I got there with a few other(group ish amount) maybe few more), we just focus high dmg and bombed him with cc and broke his invis as much we could, was not hard at all tbh.

Axemaster Gwyllion is relatively easy to do with a small group of 5-6 people when all of them have both the Nuhoch Stealth Detection mastery and enough CC to melt his breakbar. (A Venomous Aura thief with Basilisk Venom can help with the latter.) Any player you add who doesn’t have both of those things will make the event harder by upscaling the breakbar while not being able to contribute anything to melting it.

Rangers with electric wyverns are great at melting breakbars.

I counted even the time doing events after the bosses are dead. I really never achieved it even though I felt like I’m sprinting through the map doing everything possible. And it wasn’t like other people stopped playing. There is just never enough time left. 2 minutes at max.
