I live in US East Coast, and typically do my dailies at night, after the reset. HoT launches, as near as I can tell, at 3am local time on Friday, right? So I’m wondering, should I do my dailies as usual on Thursday night, or wait and do them the next day, when I’ll be playing HoT anyways?

Would the potential rewards be better? Would it automatically reset the counter, allowing me to get two daily sets over that 24 hour period? Will I be able to clear the dailies within the new content? They haven’t really discussed the state of dailies at all after HoT, but we have to assume there will be some shift since the current ones do not take place in Maguuma or cover any of the new potential areas that they might.

This is very simple. Dailies are not changing with HoT release, at least not initially.
So do your Thurs dailies and Fri dailies as usual.

Can you think of any dailies that are completable in Hot areas because I can’t, so you will be doing them in core Tyria as you always have.

They are launching HoT, at 12:01 AM Friday Morning per the blog post. That is 4 hours after dailies reset, not 1 min. The daily may or maybe not reset after HoT launches. At best, you can get the opportunity for an extra daily rewards. At worst, you will get what you always get, on time.

Why should the dailies reset? Did they said they would or is there a reason for it? The only thing I know of is the guild missions reset to another day.

Friday we will have Halloween content and HOT. I am sure I am not the only one who will put dailies at the very bottom of the to-do list for awhile after they drop.

I’d think the only advantage to doing the dailies post HoT is if you do the 4 events in a zone one you’ll get one or two reward mats. Yay? And a disadvantage to waiting could be the game not even being accessible due to login server crashes, game server crashes, DDOS attacks, etc, thus causing you to miss the daily entirely.

So I’ll be getting my daily done asap Thursday after reset.

You’ll probably get much better loot doing Halloween content than doing the dailies.

Actually, HoT release will be (if on time) 7 hours after Dailies reset, as they reset at 5PM PDT.

I would/will probably do them before release, just in case they reset again. Unless they start having 2 different sets of Dailies (one for HoT-owners, and one for others, which they could do), I don’t think we will be seeing a difference in what the regular Dailies offer.

There is also the likely possibility of Halloween dailies. Carving, opening bags, labyrinth, beating candy corn eles, etc. I like to get my daily achievements, but I’ll be focussed on Halloween first, masteries second, and HoT third.
I have to admit it will be hard to not do everything at once.
