I wonder, why there’s so many hardcore players in the most casual game ever? Where were you all this time? You came from another game?
People begged, pleaded, complained, scorned, chided, cajoled (is that even a word anymore?), shamed, demanded etc etc etc
For more challenging content.
The Queensdale Champ train followed by the Something Somewhere Ice-Place Champ Train, soon followed by the Something-In-Orr Champ Train, Silverwastes Gravy Zero-effort Train and a few others I can barely remember. These people willingly did, the whole time slamming A-Net for not giving them “Challenging End Game Content”. Constantly complaining about the “Grind” while never really getting the fact that “Grind” has existed in every video game EVER (seriously, do your homework and GOOGLE before spouting 2011 REDDIT crap).
Now we have (OPTIONAL) challenging end game content, the Zerkers and “casuals who Lone-wolf their own guild” come out of the woodwork to complain because they can’t run it over in 30 minutes or less.

Because that’s what this game was about! If you want some challanging content why you have played GW 2 it never had one.

That’s the point isn’kitten We ALL payed the same price, for everything that Arenanet has said in their “manifesto” : Play how YOU want. They took this away, and several other things that we had in the core (looks at guilds and their access now) game.
Look I do not mind it is harder game play in HoT. I am a lone wolf owning my own guild because I like to play this way and GW2 gave me this, I could choose to play together with friends/randoms. I could also just go about and enjoy what ever content there was to do. HoT barred me from several small things atm. I will come past it it eventually, but, the game play has significantly changed, I do not like it, I payed the full shebang for it like all these “hardcore players”. So yeah I say my say, but unlike many others I just move on and check sometimes the forums (and reply sometimes) to see if there is any change or ideas for me to move on. Until that time I try to log in, if not I boot up any other game that feels at least rewarding for the little time I can spend on video games, where as I feel GW2 currently with its new content is not rewarding me.
As a casual player, I can’t really see where some of the complaints come from. Seriously. I’ve just finished the story last night, and I also got all of the HoT-masteries on lvl 2 so far… now working on gliding 3 because I love gliding, haha (likely gonna be the first one I’m gonna max out). So far, I have done EVERYTHING in full zerker gear, on my Mesmer/Chronomancer. Of course there’s events or champs I couldn’t solo (while others I could), but that exists in the vanilla game as well. Luckily, there’s usually other players on the map, or you could even ask guildies/friends if they could come and help you with something. And mind you, I’m by no means a pro player.
