From what i’ve seen & heard, anet is trying to get rid of the unhealthy zerker meta. (which i completely agree with, it just has to go.)

But how are they going to get rid of it for dungeons and such?
We haven’t heard anything dungeon related so I wonder how they’re going to do it.

I know they’re trying to change the AI but I don’t think the zerker meta is going to dissapear just from that.

They aren’t getting rid of it in dungeons. It’s only a temporary reprieve until people learn the new content, then high dps builds will be maximized again.

Colin already confirmed without directly saying it dungeons themselves are dead and any 5 man instanced “dungeon” content will continue through fractals. That’s what you haven’t heard anything about dungeons. Old content will stay old content and not be revisited.

And this is what i’m afraid of.

I know dungeons have been forgotten for way too long. But its still one of the things that brings a lot of money in. Which sucks & gets really boring.

I really hope this won’t be the case. I hope they will do something even though I doubt it myself.

they are the new 5 man content, and they havent added any new ones in HOT

Fractals are dungeons and there are no new fractals in HoT, just changes to how fractals will be done, and moving the difficulty cap up to level 100. It wouldn’t be wrong of you to think that ArenaNet is abandoning dungeons/fractals for the most part, it has been nearly 2 years since there has been any new content in the dungeon department.
