Did anyone come across any problems other than things not being developed/coded in yet?

Personally? I couldn’t allocate the first point in the Exalted Knowledge mastery line. (Yes, I had selected it as the active line and filled the bar) The “Are you sure you want to spend this point” dialogue came up, but choosing “accept” did nothing.
Small, obviously, but it’s something I ran into.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.
Well there was some lag in between casting skills, and sometimes my glider didnt deploy when I jumped

A few event markers (the blue/red border thingies around points that you need to hold…) were wonky, i.e. one side of a bridge was properly marked and the other three just went up in the air, making the space we needed to hold look sort of vertical. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary, aside from the giant toon in character creation.

Did you activate and level the glider mastery? Because it wasn’t all unlocked by default.

Yes, small but EXTREMELY useful to the devs!
I would rather get a picky ‘you misspelled this word’ report than a ‘looks good to me’ report (even though the latter seems like it should be less work). The former tells me someone REALLY kicked the tires before it went to the client so if I get the latter none of the devs know if it is really bug-free or what. The client WILL find outstanding bugs and you will have to fix them anyway, but doing it that way causes all sorts of problems and gives the company a bad rep.

I had this same problem. When I first attempted it I got attacked by an enemy and wondered if it didn’t work because I was in combat, but oonce I was clear it still didn’t register.

I dont know if you were meant to fall off the bridges in the Hylek camp (were they Hylek? They were sure ugly!). I died on one and I don’t even know how, I was running on it straight.
are we bata testing if it is an old build can anyone in the tech demo tell us if there is anything new in there since then

revenant skills have extremely long aftercast. annoying as hell
The upcoming closed beta will help us test the stability of our new PvE outpost-event content structure.
this was a stress test of their servers basically.

ummm were on a mega server if there servers are not going to get stress unless you get players not playing gw2 in there and expand the numbers of players

Actually it was more of a stability test of the new outpost system rather than a stress test of the servers.

That is not how it works. The megaserver is not unlimited in size. Each shard is also dynamic so they might want to test if they can have more people in each shard for example.

So far this test area is about 4 times bigger than the previous beta test demo, I do agree though that it is more of a tech demo than a beta test, even the load screens say its a demo.
Being a test with no NDA attached at this stage of development, they aren’t going to throw people in the thick of it.
These tests seem to have a clear specific purpose on their end, ie. they probably have stuff set up to collect certain kind of metrics and data, that wouldn’t be there on live. Since this beta was open doors in terms of coverage it makes sense they set up the tests so that they can get useful data out of it without making it seem like the game is completely broken at the same time (hence why no new traits system was in I am guessing for example, if it would have even been possible to include it selectively, see below).
Also, due to how they are conducting these betas inside the live client I am guessing that places certain restrictions on things. They probably have QA testers on a separate client under doing tests under NDA as per usual.

I noticed a few masteries weren’t selectable, but I assumed that was because they were useless in the beta. As far as I know, there’s no exalted to encounter in the areas we can explore, so maybe the exalted masteries are locked so we don’t waste our finite pool of mastery points on things we’d get no benefit from.
