Q:
….. And Elementalist.
Q:
Hopefully I can get some to the point simple answers. Preferably keep answers numbered if possible please.
1. If I buy HoT, will I have a spare key to the core game to give to my friend who is currently F2P?
2. If I buy the $100 version, how soon could I expect 4000 gems to spend?
3. Would this be worth buying if you only PvP and WvW?
4a. As someone who is on prepaid internet at 6gb per $50, how big will the expansion be in terms of size?
4b. Will the expansion download be mandatory to those who didn’t buy HoT?
5: Name the most exciting thing about HoT that isn’t PvE related or class related.
1. No, you will not have a spare key. You’ll be able to either upgrade your existing account, or start a new one with both Guild Wars 2 and HoT.
2. The gems come with 72 hours.
3. Depends on whether you want to support the game. If you like the game enough why wouldn’t you support it? Anyway I suspect you’ll want some of those elite specializations for WvW.
4a. No idea.
4b. The expansion will update with the core game anyway. I don’t think it’s two different updates.
5. My guess would be the new borderlands and the changes coming to WvW. Plus the meta will be shaken up.

Most of those changes do not require you to have the expansion though.
4a) HOT minimum requirements are 10gig more than gw2 minimum requirements, as such its expected that HOT will require around 10 gigs extra to be downloaded, what we dont know is how much of that has already been downloaded & how much of it will have to be downloaded on/around release date

But they’re coming with the expansion. They cost money to program. You choose to support the game or not, but if you don’t, you sure can’t complain when your chosen area of the game gets less support.

This is a silly comment, I’ve put over $2000 into the game up until the HoT announcement. Please don’t assume I don’t support the game.
(if your argument is “you’ve spent 2k why not spend another 50?” I just can’t with a child due soon, every dollar counts now)
If anything, Anet doesn’t support WvW and treats it as some side game, granted it is to most people but not to me. Guild Wars 2 is the only game I enjoy for mass PvP, if I want to PvE, I play Far Cry 4 or Final Fantasy, but as it stands Guild Wars 2 is the only game I can WvW on which is why I have put so much money towards it already.
Thankyou for your first comment though.
