These “Adventures”, I hate them, I can’t do them, I hate my skill bars being messed with.

I have one gold in the “Drone Race” thingy, a silver and about 3 bronzes in other ones, others I completely abandoned in anger.

I find them very frustrating and they make me angry, and I want to skip them.

I guessing if I don’t do them I won’t get enough mastery point to complete my masteries, I have spent 42 points, 25 unspent points and totalling up what I need is another 45 points.

Is it possible to get those but not do anymore “Adventures” ?

I have done all the Mastery Strongboxes.

Also wondered why my “Mastery Rank” shows as 43 when I’ve only spent 42 points ?

Jumping puzzles, love them or hate them, I hate them. Thread killer.

Some of the player base have physical disabilities which make doing things of this nature very difficult it not impossible. I myself can’t do sPvP because of Osteoarthritis in my joints (most specifically my hands). I’d rather not take the chance of overdosing on my pain medication just for a few Mastery Points.

Perhaps an alternative way of gaining the Master Points is available?
Also some might suggest doing the Metas . The Grent Meta so far has a 99% fail rate, the Dragon’s Stand Meta I have done multiple times and the Auric Basin Meta doesn’t appear to reward them anymore.
I’m at a loss as to what to do. I’ve collected all the Masteries in Magus Falls, including the strong boxes and am 32 points shy of completion. I also have full map completion and have finished my Hearts and Minds Personal story.

Sorry to hear about your condition.

I don’t mind the waiting for meta events, I don’t mind when meta events fail.

And I know I have some more mastery points to get, I will probably end up short by about the same amount as you, and end up at a loss of what to do, and might never get them.

The mastery point system is problematic for the same reason that the hero point system is. Linking up generalized points to acquisition that is too specific and too high in quantity at the same time.

This wouldn’t necessarily be an issue if MPs and HPs were spent on bonus content (example of bonus content being something like the acquisition of extra Hearts in Ocarina of Time), but both are spent on primary content instead (example: getting the Hookshot in Ocarina of Time).

I think the WvW PoH system was a step in the right direction for HPs and MPs in general. I would like to see both HPs and MPs given more of that kind of design; allow people to get points through more generalized acquisition and when they stop needing them, they can spend excess currency on things that pertain to the content (e.g. what already exists with PoH, where the tokens can be spent on WvW consumables).

Or words to that effect.

Likes and Wants are Ifs and Maybes with this Dev team. They make major changes to the game before getting any feedback and make condescending remarks about the player base when they complain about it.

Look them up in the internet. Many races have shortest paths that you nearly can’t find without help from YouTube video guides. Some may be really hard und luck-based, but I’m sure that you can get enough mastery points without doing them all on gold.
And last but not least, patience is your friend. You get better. You’ll find some shorter ways, some better tricks and skill usage etc…. til you’ll eventually be able to get silver or even gold. I was so happy when I finally managed to complete shooting gallery after one or two hours

I think (this is just a guess) that Living Story 3 may contain Mastery points, so you can probably pick up the required number there.

I hope you’ll be able to get all Masteries required BUT I would also council Anet against balancing content around people with disabilities (with no disrespect for your condition).

A lot of the masteries are useless, so feel free to skip them entirely. You can easily save yourself 40+ points. If you care about a high mastery level however, keep in mind that completing the raid is a requirement.

Most of the adventures are easy enough that silver is a give away and for a few of them, gold is also. That’s really all you need if you can get all the other mastery points available.

You need them maxed if you want the new legendaries.
If don’t care about that, then yeah not all of them are needed.

Another derailing post. ^^
