I see nothing but improve the skills, may be used if other weapon, that if will join and add new features, but ….

What about pets ?, that trait so characteristic of this profession, she remains as she is ?, not going to do anything new ?.
It will remain the same for pets, but with other airs in their skills ?.

You know that they haven’t gone over the ranger specialization or changes in depth right

There could be more pets, but they better not buff pets. Rangers are already one of the heaviest hitters, their pets can apply conditions as well as some DPS and they can revive them faster than any player can revive another player. I hope they add cool new pets, but they don’t need any kind of boost.

We know from the recent Jon Peters interview that the Druid is going to be CC/Support oriented… but we don’t know anything about more about the Druid profession mechanic now than we did when they did the reveal at PAX South.

And Ranger’s are “one of the” heaviest hitters? LOLWUT? Put the pipe down, son. NOT EVEN ONCE.

Rangers are hard hitting? Wow then these dungeon groups are plain stupid for kicking me in the past(hasnt happened since they fixed pets) But you get my point. If rangers where strong, they would be wanted for speed clearing groups, dungeon groups, fractal runs, etc etc. Sure they arent bad, but they arent the best either.

The pvp community reminds me of what Obi-kittenenobi describes Mos Eisley as from star wars.

I would vote for having a specialization that increase stats and skills for the ranger AND get rid of that pesky pet when specializing in that specialization. A lot of time the pet is a hindrance to ranger’s game play really.

Stars, IMO, if that is to happen it will only happen in an Elite Specialization. I’m also of the opinion that it is not going to happen until certain Developers leave Anet.

This won’t happen since so many traits (including minor traits) in all core specializations rely on your pet being there. Not only that but there are also healing, utility, elite and even weapon skills that depend on having a pet for at least part of their functionality.

The most elite specializations will do for rangers is alter their pet and f-skills somehow.

Bountiful Harvest: roots your pet to the ground (pet can’t move or attack). Pet will now pulse (radius=500) every 10 seconds, this adds 1 stack of might (5s), fury (5s), and protection (5s)(targets =5). 90s CD. pet will remain this way until druid is X distance, pet dies, or F5 is hit again. Master trait to reduce pulse time to 8 seconds.

theres something they could do with pets. They could also give it another attack of some kind.

Are we playing the same game? Pets cannot be actively revived at all. Conditions are weak in general and weaker without bonus condition damage, which pets generally lack because they don’t scale. Pets explode and go on a 60 second CD from splashing AoE damage. And finally, pets are stupid because of AI limitations.

They should do something with the AI, to avoid the AoD.
Should give the option to carry it or not, so it does not damage the Rangers would be shared with the pet.
The Rangers should have a new skill more per pet.
They would have to have new pets.
They would have to be able to customize the pets (Armor ?, flamethrower on the back? , Spiked balls in the tail ?, mechanical claws ?, guild appearance?).

This is why rangers can’t have anything nice. Misinformation at its finest.
