Specializations [speculation]
I would agree with most of that, But also if you spec into a druid dont expect to use your bow anymore, with every upgrade there is always a consequence you cant cant your cake and eat it. Its more likely that a druid will be more healing utility snares etc almost like a support class remember in guild wars one there was a consequence to choosing a second class and once chosen that was it i’m sure they are trying to get us to make more dynamic decisions on how our characters play and consequences are a part of that. I personally dont mind too much just give me the hammer engineer with the drones
That may be the case. If they are going to make classes more specced into a certain role then I can see this become a very good thing. Then I may be wrong in my statement.
They are maybe trying to split weapons between specializations, if there are more than one specialization for each class. I can give an example below.
Class: Ranger
Specialization: Druid (Support)
- The Druid uses Staffs, Swords and Horns to support his team with CC and heals.
Specialization: Beastmaster (Damage Dealer)
- The beastmaster uses Greatswords and Longbows with his pet to overcome his enemies.
Specialization: Survivalist (Tank)
- The Survivalist uses Daggers, Shortbows and Torches and lays traps to survive against his enemies.
