Not sure if this is spoiler-worthy, but just in case, don’t read this if you don’t like a very mild spoiler.. but I’m not sure it IS, precisely.

Let’s find out.

So I don’t know if there was a different trigger, if it was map-wide, or if it was my hitting a specific trigger, or if it was even a different npc.

But I was in… oh, I think it was Auric Basin… and I was capturing.. hm, a mastery point, a hp, strongbox… sorry this happened several days ago, should have posted it right away.

Anyway. As I finished channeling it, suddenly a voice that reminded me of Mordremoth playing sylvari in Torn from the Sky shouted out, “Mordremoth is getting impatient!” or something like that.

It sounded like mordremoth, though I wasn’t aware he would speak in the third person… I didn’t see any npcs nearby. It was all kind of shocking. I didn’t know if a boss was shouting map wide, or it was supposed to be an “in your head” kind of experience, or what. I looked around, and didn’t see anything but a few of your typical environmental mobs nearby.

Anyone have any idea what that was? I was playing my asura, so it shouldn’t have been a mordremoth voice….

Anyway, just trying to alleviate my confusion.

Do the mobs have ambient dialog? That’s all I can think of. Unless there’s something your asura needs to fess up to…

Mordremoth is getting impatient with me because… hm…..

LOL I suppose it could have been ambient dialogue, but the critters were a bit of a distance away and it sounded right in my ear. Then again, could’ve been a bug to make it sound so close.

So, I dunno.

I don’t believe I’ve ever noticed anything beyond growls and groans. I’ll have to pay more attention next time.

I once got his voice on my asura as well.

Except it wasn’t after finishing channeling a HP/mastery point thing, it was in {SPOILER} Living Story at chapter 15 when you’re fighting Faolain. I actually got a screenshot of it. No idea if other races hear him there or not.

(I’m actually a bit curious as to which point you heard Mordy talk at)

This is normal, its Mordremoth speaking through Faolin to all players on the instance.
