I thought I read somewhere that the standard HoT edition comes with the extra character slot?

Is that true or not?

It is true if you had an account registered before January 23rd this year. If not, nope.

The character slot will only be for those who prepurchase as well. So, only those who buy prior to Oct. 23 get it.
