Stomping in PVE?

Maybe they will. Who knows at this point.

All for it. I liked that twist with the Toxic Alliance, and it gives PvE players a reason to bother with/show off finishers.
No idea if they’re doing it or not, but I’d smile if they did.
I’d like to see stomping in pve. It’s rare I even get to stomp in pvp because many times you just have to damage them to death.
Toxic Alliance might even be a preview.
There are going to be more humanoid mordrem and some of them might basically be the same thing as the toxic knights. Mordremoth’s specialty is warping people’s minds, so even the hallucinations might make a comeback.
There might even be other similar mechanics, like perhaps disabling possessed sylvari and curing them of mordremoth’s influence. Like, what if you could knock them out like any other enemy, but they’re rezable as friendly NPCs once they’re downed.
What if that was a two-way mechanic where a mordrem could rez fallen allies to their side? So you’d have to CC mordrem away from bodies and make sure to rez them yourself to keep control of the battlefield?
Either way, enemies that have to be stomped, enemies that are smart enough to rez each other or prevent stomps and enemies that can stomp players might be interesting mechanics to explore. Mordremoth is supposed to be one of the more intelligent dragons. (Dominion is mind) and it would make sense for more of his higher level minions to have more advanced tactics than Zhaitan’s zombie hordes.
I absolutely loved stomping the toxic sylvari. It was wonderful to see that mechanic brought into pve. It added more decision making to combat, upped the difficulty, and let us show off our neat finishers. I desperately hope they have some of that in HoT.
We did get to stomp the dragon at the end of Point of No Return, so maybe that’s a sign of things to come.
Yes please, along with smarter npcs who try to res their allies and also stomp you if they down you. More like the HotM profession npcs, just better.
It’s no fun mowing through mobs without needing to stomp anything.
Most likely.
