Story?
I don’t understand what you mean. The living world was the continuation of the personal story; and I bet if anything the expansion will lead off where the living world ended. Whether it will be in the form of more living story style content; or a return to the personal story system is yet to be seen.
That’s exactly what has been happening with the living story? All of the living story takes place after the personal story. The present day of the game is 1328 AE, while the personal story took place in 1325 AE. That said, many parts of the game are ‘frozen in time’ so to speak. Updating all events, dialogues and what not to be in 1328 AE would take so much resources as to be unreasonable.
That’s more or less what I’m talking about, Scale the living world into a personal story kind of deal.
The parts of the world that are “frozen in time” are half-justified in a way, for example, Orr still being filled with Risen is justified because at one point, Trehearne says it will still take time to clear out the remaining Risen, implying dragon minions remain after the dragon’s death, and it was sort of progressed by the Tequatl Rising patch, where Tequatl’s power inexplicably grew.
In a few years though, I would like Orr to progress to a stage where its more “cleansed” as such, along with other remaining dragon areas.
and it doesn’t matter if your a Revenant doing the personal story, no NPCs ever discuss your profession with you in the personal story. Just roleplay it off like it never happened if it bugs you that much.
I don’t understand your concern. Or what you just said. I literally didn’t understand a sentence of it.
I’m guessing you think that this expansion is going to dramatically change the game’s current content, similar to a WoW Cataclysm type of expansion? Because that’s not what’s happening, and I don’t know where you got that idea.
I think he want a seperate personal story for the revenant.
I would like that to but I dont think it will happen, we will play throught the old ps like every other alt or just not do it at all.
