Q:

I would like to know when you will release the team size for stronghold.
I do not want to speculate because i do not want to run the risk of forming a roster that is too big for the game mode. A lot of people have said its an 8v8 game mode, but i have not seen any information confirming this at all.
Really interested in this game mode, would appreciate any feedback at all

I would guess it is 5v5. It would make sense since, they said a long time ago that 5 players is, in their opinion, the optmal size for a group. And i dont think that changed much.

But at the moment nobody knows the actual teamsize (apart from Anet ofc.).

The following quote is from Devon (Dev):

But why no game mode that’s small scale of 5 players and under? The majority of the pvp community have been just begging for another game mode for years that’s competitive, small scale, and not conquest, and not revolving around holding a point or standing within a small vicinity.
Countless

We’ll have more to say about Stronghold in the coming weeks, but I will say you’ve misinterpreted what Colin said about the scope of the mode.

EU – Multiple times #1 SoloQ pre Dec 2014 (pure MMR based ladder)
Primoridal (S1) & Exalted (S2) & Illustrious (S3) Legend

You might be even wrong about that, maybe even Anet is still going back and forth between how many players… It is very plausible though that more than 5 players can join in per team. It is guild versus guild so you want to enjoy it with a larger part of your guild than 5 players and in the original the party size of GvG (8v8) was bigger than normal PvP (4v4). So hey who knows.
