We are a medium sized guild. We have been working very hard to obtain our upgrades including all guild enhancements. It would be unfair to allow people to join and only stop by our guild hall to get our guild enhancements and then uprepresent us.
There should be an option to discourage such “leeching” behaviors. Guild enhancements should be removed when the player unrepresent the guild, which they received the enhancements from.
Maybe you can disband members who engage in this behavior….
On the other hand:
Sounds to me you are an honest guild leader to ask for an option to discourage this behavior. I wonder if a dishonest leader may simply abuse the disbanding command, and disband many members who had helped to build a guild, then sell the guild for cash or gold.
I hope ANet QA had combed through things like these.
We do not require our members to represent us 100%. In fact, we love the multiple guild system and only ask that they participate in guild activities/chat. So, it will be very difficult to track which members are only in our guild to get the guild enhancements.
A better suggestion is having an option in guild permission to limit access to guild enhancements. Similar to withdraw items/gold from guild bank. This will encourage members to be active and contribute to guilds.
