Problem: A whole lot of peple have multiple armors and trinkets in their inventory. Therefore inventory space is required for them to stash those sets. Just imagine Rangers:

healer build, condition build, zerker build -> that makes 3 different builds that all require 12 slots of inventory/build = 36 Inventory slots.

Suggestion: An option to enhance multiple stats to ascended armor.
How does it work: You got 2 Pieces of armor/trinket with different stats on them, for example chestplates with berserker and viper stats. Now you need the option to merge the stats from the viper armor to the berserker armor. I imagine an Item (like the old transmutaition stones) that says: Put the armor you want to enhance left, put the armor with the stats you want to have right -> merge. The stat armor would be destroyed but you get the option to chose the stats on the other item. This could work just like legendarys do.

Result: Lots of free inventory space.

To Consider: There is still no option to insert other rune sets. Maybe there could be a similiar way, like a fee for another rune slot or sth.

This would be an expensive alternative for legendary armor, since you stil got to posses 2 pieces of armor/trinkets that are not easy to get. That is why it should be ascended only (since legendary doesn’t need it)

Since choosing stats on equipment is already possible, it would be possible to implement such a feature (i am not saying it is easy though).

Now it is your turn to tell me why this is bad. Maybe i missed a few things?

Its bad because it completely negates the advantage that legendary armor gives you. While yes legendary armor would have more than 2 or 3 stats to choose from, realistically the average player won’t use more than 5 stat sets ever unless they like to theorycraft.

Free stat swapping should remain a legendary only option

Well this system would have the same problem as legendary have right now. Stats swapping without runes/sigils swapping is almost completely useless.

Now there is the argument that OriOri made that stats swapping is a current advantage of Legendary over ascended. Tbh there is no objective answer to that. At launch legendary used to have 1 stats per legendary and you couldn’t change it. So for exemple, my Sunrise was Soldier stats and I was stuck with that for a long time. But people were still willing to make the effort to get the legendary even that would make their build less efficient. So the stats swapping doesn’t need to be limited to legendary. It usually don’t factor in the decision of a player to get or not a legendary.

That said, I personnaly believe that stats swapping should remain a specific advantage of legendary over ascended. If only they could had rune/sigil swapping too. But I wouldn’t be mad if they added that swapping capability to ascended. Especially if you need to craft each stats to enchant it, while Legendary have access to all stats for ’’free’’.
