I see a lot of post by people wanting a bigger role in the in game universe and think that’s cool but personally I would like to have the ability to choose a simpler path.
Something like joining the Seraph or Lion Guard in a smaller role. I think a way we could get this would be to use the mastery system. Something like completing “x” number of dynamic events in certain zones or crafting in certain areas or something.
Example:
Craft 100 “x” level items in Divinities Reach and Complete “x” number of missions in Queensdale, Kessex Hills, Brisban Wildlands, or Harathi Hinterlands as a human character.
Reward: Gain membership in the Seraph Guard.
Replayability: The more someone focuses on this track the more ranks they gain in the Seraph. Throw in a title, a custom finisher, maybe associated level appropriate armor, and some occasional loot chest for good measure.
I even think race gating some of these would be cool (for lore continuity and all). Plus, that encourages people to buy character slots, level alts, play more ,etc. Obviously race neutral options should be available too. Maybe dive deeper into the 3 orders more or add some new groups players can associate with (considering what happened to the Pact.)
Anyway, just a thought I had. I have no clue if something like this is even possible or worth Anets time. I do hope it is though.
