PLEASE in the name of all that is holy add more of him in future LS episodes or whatever. This guy is my new hero in game. I seriously can’t get enough of him or the interactions between him and the other npcs.

I think that at this point it’s safe to say that Faren is faking it. Anyone as incompetent and clueless as he acts would have been dead by now. Heck, one weapon and no armor? Even our characters would have died in the Mordremoth jungle in that state.

I’m sure we’ll see more of him.

If that bottle’s a focus, then he’s perhaps a mesmer (not that every person in Tyria is one of the professions unless they are a player character). Which would explain the ability to deceive and play the fool when he’s clearly super competent and has been since we first faced bandits together with him.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, I want him to be the Scarlet Pimpernel. Even if I do have a sylvari mesmer who is exactly that in RP, Faren can steal my thunder any time He’s just gotta be E.

There is only thing that could have been done better on that little story:
- Give the man a wild bushy beard.

That would have made the comment from Jasmine even more funny.

love this character. I want him on my team in the living story :P

I’ve had a kind of grudging respect for Faren ever since I did the human noble storyline in the betas.

A bunch of people get kidnapped and everyone’s standing around wondering who will save them except two people. One is your character (of course, they’re the hero, it’d be a bloody short game if they didn’t) and the other is Faren.

He may not be the most competent person in Tyria, but he gets full marks for bravery and that counts for something.

Also, short shorts. (Are we ever going to get to see the coveted Lord Faren calendar mentioned in Party Politics?)

He could have made Lady Luck swoon over him constantly. The guy survives stuff with his luck to the point where he could survive encountering an Elder Dragon simply because our group runs into him when he’s in danger. The man is the living proof that some people have the utmost luck on their side.

Now you’re making me think of him in light of how my first boyfriend characterized James Bond while we were playing the Top Secret tabletop game: a luck vampire. Draining the luck of everyone around him which is why so many die near Bond while he comes out with a whole skin. (Luck was a mechanic in that game).

YES YES YES!! We need more of Lord Faren in this game! His Humour is one of the best in this game… Besides who will forget his famous line ’I’m rich you know.’.

Honestly I don’t like Faren. The kitten took my best roast duck and brandy and handed it out without my permission. Nevermind I saved Shaemoor, I was saving that duck for a special occasion! And now he’s become so conceited that he doesn’t even treat me like an old friend anymore. Seriously, kitten that guy.
