Please update this meta rewards, after completing the meta the caches should be giving rares like AB or better, this meta requires a lot of pre planning and making sure each lane understands the process and have the correct amount of players, one mistake by a lane during the lure Gerent phase and meta fails..meta has no remove for mistakes like the other maps, yet the rewards are pure trash, AB as long as you have enough players 90% of the time it’s completed..

I think this is one the problems I am finding with TD atm. It seems to be done less and less right now or at least less often through a range of times in the day. In contrary, Auric is not only more reliable in terms of getting groups together, the multi looting going on appears to increase the number of maps you can get into.

I can walk out of Auric with a bag full of rares pretty much every run. I killed Gerent a couple of days ago and didn’t get a single rare. OK, that’s pretty unlucky, but even on a good day, the numbers of rare items is lower than in Auric.

Gerent is a decent meta, with decent mechanics, in a good place difficulty wise. It just needs a bit more encouragement in terms of rewards to bring more people into it so that more maps are viable. Whether that is with a greater chance for unique skins or with more rares/ectos.

AB should just be nerfed so you can’t hop map instances or add some DR where you can only get so many rares from the chests.

I think the main reason that TD is not being completed as often is that one map puts 4 squads on the LFG tool. This map is quickly full, but people try to get into the map. As a result, there are 2-3 overflow maps filled with people trying to get into that one full map.

Any of these overflow maps could organize and do a successful run, except people won’t commit to commanding them or staying on them because each individual player thinks their best shot of winning is that one full map.

The end result is the overflow maps don’t organize, few people get into the full map, and the meta doesn’t get completed.

All because people insist on leaving full maps up on LFG.

I think you’re all correct. AB multi-loot is obviously a factor as players will spend time on events they find rewarding and participate less in events that are unrewarding. The TD boss meta is horribly unrewarding. You don’t even have to compare it to AB multi-loot. Just consider the fact that you’d get far more loot by looting chak caches in the lanes than by beating the chak gerent – which for some reason just gives you a handful of normal chak caches and the usual Hero chest or whatever it’s called.

Does that seem a bit off? I mean AB clearly doesn’t have that problem. They added exalted chests to the events in the cycle but they are nowhere near the amount of loot you gain for a full Tarir assault completion (especially multi-map!).

Yup, Gerent is pretty unrewarding, even with no multi-loot Tarir is still much better. The only reason people ever did gerent was for ley-line crystals and chak eggs. When people no longer need the currency, it becomes a dead event.

I don’t think nerfing Tarir rewards is a good solution. Instead the rewards from the chak gerent event need to reflect the difficulty of the event itself. I’ve never even completed it (haven’t tried but a few times though) because only one lane has to screw up for everyone to fail the event whereas Tarir is much more forgiving in that even if 3 of the gates fail you still get rewards from the meta event. I think giving players a guaranteed rare for completing it and making it more forgiving like Tarir (so multiple lanes could fail and you could still get rewards, just not as many as if all lanes had succeeded)

AB rewards are so out of line compared to every other area of the game simply because all a player has to do is hope to another map. I disagree about Gerent needing to be nerfed even further than what it has been so far.

The only thing I can think of is they thought the chak caches that appear in mass quantities in the lanes upon completing the events would be the reward? I mean, you certainly are a lot better off completely ignoring the chak gerent, completing events, and then heading down into the lanes to loot chak caches. You’ll have leyline crystals coming out of your ears and plenty of loot to salvage.

It’s just a shame you’ll get what? A mastery strongbox and 6 chak caches for a T5 completion on chak gerent? Hmm, let’s see. 100 chak caches or 6 chak caches? Does anyone else see a problem here?

Keep these threads coming. Maybe they’ll bump up the priority on this one before they completely wreck this map.

TD isn’t as popular as it needs a lot more organisation and all 4 lanes need to do their part throughout the event. During AB you can support another side after yours is low with no consequences and so it far more pug friendly.

Best way to get Leyline crystals by far Is to farm champs/misc events after outposts are done. Can usually get about 1.5k during one cycle.
