Take Tokens out of Chalice
Wintersday is almost upon us; you can get Star of Gratitude then. =)
They really should move the tokens out of there. Like, if you want to have some super-hard JP that’s fine, but don’t stick part of an unrelated achievement in there.
Completely agree!
And also the Mastery point.
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
done by now.”
Well for me the complaint is more about making you get far in the jp and then leaving your progress in the jp to get the coin. That just furthers the frustration.

The two close together can be gotten after you have completed the JP. One of them can be gotten right after you reach the 3rd checkpoint. The other can be glided to from the 3rd checkpoint if you miss it while doing the JP.
When I went for the coins in the JP I figured out you can get them all in 1 run if you are on a mesmer. The first coin is in the tunnel that leads to the central lava chamber. Then there is one that’s easily reachable by gliding after checkpoint 2 on the way to 3, you can simply die to port back up. There is also one at checkpoint 3 I believe, if you go down that hole as a mesmer you can port up. The last 2 you should go for after you’ve reached the end and then glide back to that spire that leads to them. Naturally this requires planning and you have to know where you gotta go beforehand.
My advice, bring multiple mesmers if people in your guild also want to go for them. Chronomancers can stack alacrity so you can have portals up nearly 100% of the time, depending on how many people are joining up.
While I initially agree that they should’ve never been put there, there’s not much that they’ll do about them within the timespace you’re thinking. You’ll propably have finished the Chalice before anet adresses this
I have no real issue with the tokens being in there, but I have issues with the design of the Jp being so frustrating it doesn’t motivate me to want to even bother. If you are going to put tokens in a JP, it needs to be a JP which is either well designed or much lower difficulty to be accessible for more players.
You can use teleport-to-friend to gain access to the bits of the JP needed to reach the tokens.
The achievement is completely optional. The so-called ‘eater’ won’t generate much loot (less than 20-40 silver per day).
I spent over 3 hours trying and failing to get to even the second checkpoint in the Chalice, along with over 50 other players in my map instance. Frankly, if I keep trying to do that puzzle, I am going to get so kittening kittened at the game I will stop playing. I could live without doing it, except you put 4 Mursatt tokens inside the JP, and I need an Empyreal Eater since the only other one is bound to a seasonal event I wasn’t here for, something that should be separately addressed.
Move the tokens out of the jumping puzzle so you can finish the achievement without punching in your computer monitor. You shouldn’t have 2 achievements linked together like this in the first place, especially since several of the tokens are apparently in places you can’t get back from, and they certainly shouldn’t be combined when the JP is so hard that many players can’t do it. If people can and want to go through the JP for a mastery point, that is their choice, but the map collection should not also be involved with it.
It took me 5min to get 2th check point and that right after release. So I dont understand your problem
I dont agree.
If they are too hard for you get teleport to friends.
yeah.. the token should not have been there at all…
Archeage = Farmville with PK

Assuming you have a friend that can get to the tokens…

You do not need friends, anyone who is in your squad or group can do it. I often see teleport to friend offers on lfg for these tokens, too.
I’ve been doing the JP daily. I can easily just leave my mesmer near the top and port people up. They can drop down and get the two close together and then get ported back up and get the rest. I can use squad markers to mark where to go for the others. Not saying that I will.
