The current state of elite specs and the fact that HoT release is just less than 2 MONTHS away, is VERY concerning.

Some of the Elite Specs are just not up to par yet, some are in a good spot (Chronomancer, Reaper), Herald is just too strong compared to the Rev’s Core Specs.

But MANY of the Elite specs need work. All the Elite Specializations should have be done and tested many months ago, not 2 months before release, not to mention we have NO CLUE what the Druid and Forge will be like.

Pressing matters ahead…

It would be nice if they were all 100% come release but, people would still find bug and balance issues even if they had another year. They will continue to fix and balance even after Hot release.

I do wish that they had perhaps delayed this BWE until after the Druid and Engie elite spec were ready to test.

I also find it amusing the elite specs considered to be in the best spot are both headed by the same dev. I’m a Geeliever.

Herald is just too strong compared to the Rev’s Core Specs

Herald isn’t too strong. The other legends are too narrowly defined, which is only problematic because of the inability to tailor utility skills to our personal playstyles. Herald brings desperately needed flexibility to the Revenant. It would be better if it were part of the core profession, but that’s not going to change.

I don’t disagree that it would have been better if there were more time to iterate, but it isn’t as if these things are locked down upon release.

It certainly does appear that some devs didn’t put as much work in as others or lack the imagination. Its a shame really, some elites are great and very exciting while others are meh. I guess its all option though.

very worried about the lack of polish/iteration that will plague the ranger and engi elite. we’ve seen they needed at last 2 iterations to make even the best specs work.

even though many are down on tempest, of the specs we’ve tested, i’m more down on daredevil, due to its poor animations and design decision to not build the 3 different dodges into the specs base mechanic and instead fill the entire GM tier w/ dodges you may not even want to use.

thankfully, these aren’t locked down at launch….just some classes will have to wait longer than others for their spec to be up to par.

They will continue to work on an balance/fix classes even after release. Who knows maybe next beta will be only Rangers and Engis available for testing. I doubt it but you never know.

I think there will be floods of feedback regarding these two classes which should put them in a decent state for launch, even if they still have some minor tweaking to do.

They might even choose to do a full week test prior to launch just to cement any changes they may need to make.
