Aren’t you allowed to take screenshots? Everyone here is talking about how amazing the Itzel village is, but I haven’t seen a single picture.

here’s one cap when i was recording of the approach from one angle. there isn’t much opportunity to screenshot while inside of it because it’s very windy and compact.
also, yes, I really enjoyed this area. reminded me of the labyrinthine cliffs which are one of my favorite areas in the game. I could see growing accustomed to it and speeding all over the maze-like pathways much faster than someone that just got there, from pure player knowledge. imo, that’s what they should work towards when it comes to “mastering” the forest
To be honest one of the hardest things for me about the Silverwastes and Drytop was the dry brown sandy barren look. So tiring to the eyes.
So I was knocked flat when I came into the Itzel village and the colors, the details and the level of artistry here. I want to just say that my friends and I just ran around staring and peaking into tree-huts astounded at the beautiful setting you created.
I want to thank the Devs that worked on this, I want you to know that its beautiful and is a rich and immersive environment. For the first time I got really excited about what other places I might discover.
This. I hated the other two areas because they were desert. I really, REALLY hate desert scenery.

I sorta enjoy desert scenery, just not in the way gw2 has done it. my favorite example of good desert scenery to me would be Journey. I enjoy it feeling empty, and most importantly, ENDLESS. where-as gw2’s desert areas feels claustrophobic and cramped, which while okay in say, a jungle map, is unappealing to me in a desert map

In that case, my only problem was that it was a little dead. I’m guess though that’s simply because they haven’t added all the npcs and environmental dialogue.

LOL you are so right , someones scratching thier head and rereading it going, wheres the insult.
You mean they actually liked it? Oh wow! Guys this is a compliment!
I haven’t played the beta but watching streams I agree it is beautifully designed and so much nicer than all the desert wastelands we’ve had up till now.
Desert wastelands are my least favourite environment type and one of the reasons I’ve never liked Fallout games.
