We’ve heard the name ages ago, and learned a small bit more through the revealing of the new mastery information, but now we finally got a face to the lil’ buggers. Gotta say, I was expecting another Hylek recolor but found myself surprised that there is distinct differences in facial features between them. Can’t wait to learn more about em.

By now the OP is hopping mad at the thread’s derailment. The pun-ishment for puns is to be tarred (black) and feathered. People who pig out on making puns should have their wings clipped.

I cannot wait to get a chance to use my croak and dagger in HoT expansion.

What I liked about that thread is how there was one guy who was completely oblivious to the fact it said Wing instead of Win, even after several replies.

Reading comprehension is pay to win.

Now we know why the Itzel info was so hard to come by — they’re natural masters of croak & dagger.

of course all the frogs we have are now hylek instead of all heket. seeing as they are the tree frog type i wonder if they will be heket or if all the frogmen will now be hylek just from various tribes

Is it just me, or do they seem sketchy/evil? Something about them just seems wrong. Maybe the eyes?

Since there can be another kind of hylek that looks more like tree frogs, maybe the toad-like heket may come back some day, instead them just being another kind of hylek as some though they’ll end up.

Heket looked cooler as enemies than hylek, since they have those angry-looking eye ridges that look almost like eyebrows, and horizontally slit pupils.

So, are the weird non-hostile red hylek in Silverwastes getting their models updated because they are actually itzel? Or are they a completely different thing?

I don’t know that tree frogs do so well in a desert climate, not that terrestrial analogues need to mean much for Tyria. It would look odd to me to have healthy Itzel inhabiting a dustbowl.

As well as the standard fly-catch animation of their cousins… I would adore it if one of their idle animations were in fact an eye-lick.

I would like to see the developers kermit to this endeavor…
