Hey everyone,
I suppose there have been several threads about runes and sigils on legendary weapons and armor. Sorry for creating another one but I kinda wanted to suggest my way to deal with it (if it was not suggested before already).
As it has been pointed out before, legendary items will really be useful ( and worth their price for the matter ) when we get a way to change sigils and runes on them in a similar way we can change stats. Although, I don’t think we should get it in a totally free way in order to keep the prizes of runes relevant.
Possible solution to that:
When we use runes/sigils on legendary weapons/armor, those runes/sigils should be “absorbed” by the legendary we used it on. In that way, all runes/sigils absorbed by a legendary should be available to choose from when we change stats. The rune/sigil itself will be destroyed when its power is absorbed.
Example:
I have my pair of legendary gloves. I have a superior rune of Hoelbrak and a superior rune of the Scholar. I use them both on my legendary gloves. Now everytime I swap the stats on my gloves, I’m also able to choose a rune between sup. Hoelbrak and sup. Scholar.
Now, I have no idea how difficult it is to make (the technical side of it). Eventually, an easier solution would be :
Whenever a player swaps stats on a legendary, the rune/sigil(s) that were present on that legendary return to his/her inventory.
In both solutions, players still have to buy all their runes and sigils. Nothing is unlocked for free. And with this feature, legendary items won’t just be fancy skins, but will also be very handy in the situations where you have to change your builds in the upcoming challeges that come with Heart of Thorns.
