How about we give them more than a couple of days trial during a beta or two before we decide we know everything about them. We don’t even know if they’ve taken any that seem weak during the last beta and beefed up the numbers a bit. Maybe some will turn out to be niche use, but that’s not the same as below garbage.
ANet may give it to you.

How to Condi Reaper on a budget
Everything I say is only in reference to PvE and WvW.
Scrapper is niche at best. Or were you meaning specifically for pvp? cos i won’t even be equipping it myself.

Too many Nostradamus in this game.
I’m predicting that Dragonhunter is actually probably going to end up seeing a lot of use in PvE.
It’s also worth noting that ranger, mesmer and necromancer are generally considered not worthwhile as base classes, and the power engineer that scrapper pushes isn’t either, engineer tend to be condition builds as it is.
Meanwhile, the elite specs that are seen as the worst are on the classes that already have a very strong base.
I’m actually really looking forward to having a proper ranged power weapon on my guard.

The big upcoming problem with your post OP is that there is three completely different streams of content in GW2, and different tiers for each. We should probably all just chill, maybe wait until after we’ve tested the current iterations of the new specs, then give feedback.
Could be, but tbh i was expecting much more feedback from Anet and much faster. A expension is a pretty big thing and therefore i think thats justified. WoW from Blizzard wasnt for no reason such a milestone.

Again, elite is a bad term. Sub-profession would be better. Elite simply means you can only select one of them (when we eventually get others for the base profession) with whatever level requirement and hero point cost associated with them Vs the default five. It doesn’t mean that new profession is better than it’s base profession, it’s just different.

People thought elementalists were bad profs for just about anything in the early days of the game. Consequently, I am not too worried about what people are claiming to be the expected meta.

Give ArenaNet time to balance them. I mostly agree with your tier list, but its way too early to say anything concrete about them in the long run yet.

Berserker will be a very decent buff to S/S & LB warrior, going S/T & LB will be a very,VERY decent boost to DPS! (or in this case DOT)
I’m thinking something like this:

should be 2000 power & 2000 condition dmg with maximum of around 3000/3000 with perma regen from banners and +20% boon duration for fury and might and regen (discipline would be not so worthwhile as this isn’t a power build to begin with)
The ability to selfstack might is enhanced by fire aura leap in own firefield ,
4 blast finishers for own firefields (2 banners, banner #5 and skill #3 on LB),
FGJ and Signet of Rage,
Fury is needed for an added 150 condition dmg,
The Torch will provide 150 condition dmg,
Conditions applied will stack condition dmg
There could be discussion if sigil of bursting/ smoldering or corruption would be best
and crits will spread burning…
PBAOE fire fest…
Though only 2 cleanses will reset the stacks and it’s squishy.. with no self cleans….
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

This will get CCd or kited to death.
A regular GS/Hammer warrior with just signet and berserker stance can completely rip through this build most likely.
It has no stances, it has no stability.

It’s clearly a PvE build so complaining about a SPvP weakness is…

If you think Dragonhunter is anything less than a beast you haven’t been keeping up with the changes. There’s evidence mounting its flat out max DPS for the profession and brings some devastating utility on the side.

I’m actually really looking forward to having a proper ranged power weapon on my guard.
Why? Ranged on a Guardian should only ever be used when pure melee is just not an option. I mean, I was excited about it too, but when I played DH in the betas, it felt like an incredible downgrade. No insta-cast on virtues? No thanks, I kinda need those to survive.

Guards have this amazing technology called “weapon swap”…
Fact is with the recently re-vamped Pure of Sight DH has a real shot of actually beating core Guard for raw damage output. The builds and combos that are gonna be floating around by Turkey Day are going to be fierce.

This part made me think it might be related to PvP.
In PvE squishy and self-cleanse don’t matter – even in raids – you’ll have people doing heals and cleanses for you.
Also – why would a warrior run condi in PvE? You’re best as PS and your direct damage his as far as I know higher – if condi is needed another class entirely is probably the way to go.

Guardian player on these forums are highlarious.
OP is dead wrong about the Dragonhunter, it’s really strong.
Dragonhunter has a silly name and is very slightly worse in a 1v1 than a guardian, but the bow is nearly OP and players will get used to the cast time virtues. The other traits are really strong and you’ll want Dragonhunter for max DPS. The traps won’t be widely used, but they will be very strong when they are used.
The tempest will be used once offhand dagger gets its overdue nerfing.
The daredevil doesnt play completely like a thief. That’s good. On demand stealth for p/p Theif? That’s pretty sweet. Jury’s still out on them.
The dev responsible of the daredevil/dragon hunter/tempest made a really bad job, chose bad weapons to be added and designed them baed, chose bad design for the new skills. Maybe arenanet should consider if he is the right person at that place.

I look forward to digging this thread up for the lulz a week or two after release. OP has no clue what hes talking about from ANY of the three game modes.

Actually, I am looking forward to a bow on my Guardian as well. If that were the only feature in HOT I would consider it money well spent.
Yes, if you are next to the monster melee will be better. Try meleeing with the megadestroyer and let us know how that goes, kay? There is a pretty good reason why most of the characters at that event have pets and clones.
I prefer to look at new options with the elites rather than thinking of them losing something. What is it really? A new trait line and a handful of skills.
Remember the Time where Combo Fields were considered useless? ( Even Fire Fields ) Or nobody would go into a Dungeon with an Ele?
Give Players Time after Release and you’ll see that some Classes/Elite Specs will offer some unexpected Builds that will be really good
