I don’t intend for this thread to turn into another argument over the direction that Anet is taking this in but to bring up a few poinst on how HoT may divide the community even further apart

This is a long awaited feature that I am looking forward to but I just realized something that Anet may have not realized. Is there a requirement to have HoT to enter the new guild halls. Now I can see the need to have HoT to help cap the guild hall but once the guild has control over the hall it should be open to all. Also the need for a guildie to have HoT to do guild content related to HoT I can see. Now I was just thinking that guilds will start telling people they need to have HoT to stay in the guild or requiring HoT to join, this may be considered discrimination. I’m not wanting this to turn into a debate over the price of the game or whether as a veteran player I’m Entitled to get more just to comely discuss this potential issue and that no matter the price point not everyone will get HoT for what ever reason.

Opinions are like ______ everyone has one I could
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens

It may well end up being that all guild hall content is in heart of thorns. really the only thing (that i know of) that’s staying for the core game is the specialisation balances. that’s about it.

From my understanding (and I don’t have the source for this), if you do not own the expansion you won’t be able to participate in the claiming of the hall; however, once claimed you should be able to enter the hall. There will be a button that lights up on your guild panel to take you to the hall. I will see if I can find the interview others have mentioned that has this info. (Been meaning to hunt it up anyway)

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.
