Offhand pistol is excellent for proc’ing the “Pulmonary Impact on Interrupt” trait, because of the #4. Lots of lovely damage.

Staff is fun! But it looks like other weapon combo’s can benefit nicely from the Daredevil spec.
So far from all the elite specs I have tried the Thievs was the best one so far. It synergizes well with other weapon and trait lines of the Thieve. The stuff itself is a fun weapon and might be a nice combo with PP/Staff. I need to test more but so far I might switch to using a Thieve mainly instead of my Mage.
Then again the mage spec is completly disappointing so far.
I’ve been running PP/Staff and CS/Trick/DD with Evasive Empowerment, Staff Master and Bounding Dodger (full Zerk and Scholar runes), and i’m pretty impressed so far with the synergy between the two weaponsets. Bound dodge and then Vault to proc both 10% bonuses from the DD traitline for amazing AoE damage, then switch to PP (Energy sigil on one of them) and dodge out or BP and stealth when going gets tough and just Unload for a while, then switch back to staff and repeat.
Been having fun so far.
its now unload, unload, dash, unload, unload, dual thiefs, dash, unload = dead +400hp on each hit. I have to experiment today with PVT gear
Unlike all the other elites, dardevil made me think of ways to integrate it with other weapons, and it felt like it meshed phenomenally with the other trait lines.

Not nearly as many crits as I expected. I’m not sure why that is. Damage would be substantially higher if that crit rate was better.

Most of it is the mobility that came from DD. Double pistol lacked mobility for all the damage it brought. With DD’s new mobility you don’t need a SB offweapon anymore. You can go double pistol and staff and they have amazing synergy with the new traits.

I can’t say I became a fan of Staff at all. Nor a lot of the Daredevil utility skills. A bare few was fun, and I liked the dodge trait(s)—well, mainly the blossom one. Otherwise, I was very underwhelmed by Daredevil after having played something as amazing as Chronomancer (now nerfed, and probably equally underwhelming when released).

I actually liked staff, I use it in pvp as a getaway and group support weapon. you can lay down some serious hate with vault and drop blindess to help you’re team
