Too many Unanswered Questions
As Colin mentioned, we’ll be going into the news about Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns starting very soon. I think you’ll find that these “deep dives” will give you a lot of helpful details that will answer your questions.

I think the BIGGEST question in everyone’s mind is… WHEN?!?! As I’ve said in two threads now, saying you will release info until release, and not giving us a hint of WHEN seems kinda cruel lol
The excited guys shown at the beginning of the post-show – before the YouTubers appeared – said something like “there is more news scheduled for Tuesday”. Will this be a beginning of a weekly news cycle?
I’m sorry! We’d never be cruel to our amazing players. We really will give the date as soon as we can.

Actually…since this is an expansion pack… my question is “how much?” I’ve recently had to drop a lot of money on my first new console ( Wii U ) since the Nintendo 64 ( yeah, been that long since I’ve had a console ), some new computer monitors and some other things. I cringe at the thought of how much this will cost just to keep going.

Ok this helps a lot, :s though this should be right on the main website not buried in faqs. This is pretty important value proposition stuff right here that’ll determine whether lots of people will get this expansion.

Well, excuse me. How can you say that you’re not cruel, when you are? Where’s the pre-order?! How can I throw my money at you, when you’re not allowing me to! Hmpf!!!
(Love ya, take as much time as you need to make it great! :* )

Wish this wasn’t hidden. x_x
But still no answer on how much it’ll be.

You’re suggesting a link to this FAQ from the HoT website? I’ll pass that along, thanks.

Colin answered the question about “when” if I recall stream correctly
I believe he said something like “When its ready”……
“-and on this occasion I keep mine plate armors”
discussion about offensive/deffensive playstyles

Obviously I don’t know but I’d be very surprised if it cost more than a brand new full game. So aim to save up $60/£40/equivalent in your currency and you should be fine.
Of course the other problem there is not knowing how long we’ve got until it comes out. But given there are no new levels or gear and the new progression sounds like fairly specific things I don’t think it’s going to be a huge problem if you don’t get it on day 1.

I’m super-excited for this expansion and all, but my biggest question is:
Where are the Tengu???
<_<
>_>
Oh, right. They’re still walled off in the Dominion of Winds, lol… the Switzerland of Tyria.

Thanks, although bear with us if we’re a bit… hasty. it’s just a reflection of how much we really really want us some HoT fun!
If you can however, could you tell us if there is a date or if the date still needs to be decided?

That’s still a bit of a problem. From what I’m reading, I can’t say this would be worth 60 dollars as full games usually run. This is an expansion to a game and Blizzard bleeds peeps dry on all they expansions each year. >.<
I’m just naturally wary of spending a large chunk of money, especially now with NOK having gone down because of gas trades and such. Largest dip we’ve ever had in recent years from what the hubby has explained ( he’s Norwegian, I’m from Southern US and came to live with him ).
I’m not too worried about getting games on day one but it is something to have to plan for in later expenses. I’m still going through work training to get used to working and being around people again ( eh, mental issues, have problems being around people ).

To clarify I said I don’t think it’d cost more than that. As in that is the absolute maximum I could imagine them charging.
I think it’s likely to be less than that, maybe a lot less. But I don’t know. I would hate to guess it’ll cost £20, budget for that and then find it costs £30. I’d much rather be overly conservative and have some left over.

I understand. I’m just overly cautious. >.< I’ll have to wait and see when this will be coming out.
Gonna have to put this on the “Want” list either way just depending how badly I’ll want it.
places it on the list next to a new water boiler
The funny thing is that in the official after party stream MattVisual and WoodenPotatoes say exactly the same. Not enough information at this moment. 90 minutes went by very fast without a lot of information. Quotes from WP en Matt
I have had tears in my eyes so I’m happy.
But meanwhile, the life story you will it continue? too long a break could kill me.
- Are we going to have small updates to see if any are going to be trying?
- We still have a change in the meantime? for Concordia and so on? or news of our comrades? a party? new stuff in the meantime?
how are you, I repeat myself? ha! I’m still in the excitement!
